我是一名高中教師,負責教生物科學和地理科學。平時,我需要時刻關注各類學生的學習狀況,很多事情都讓我感到煩惱。每當壓力特別大的時候,我的心跳就會變得很不平穩。

後來,受太太影響,我與菩提禪修結緣。2017年4月,我參加了「八卦內功」基礎班。一開始走「八卦」時,我難以集中精神,也感覺很累。不過兩天以後,走起來就輕鬆自然多了,接下來越走越輕鬆,不但可以集中精神去觀想,而且感覺身體充滿了能量。

走「八卦」3個月後,我的聽力有了改善,上課時,我可以很清楚聽見學生們講話了!而且,當我在面對學生的各種問題時,也能夠用很平靜的心態去解決。我發現心裡的包袱少了許多,感覺內心變得好平靜,遇到事情不再容易緊張,心跳也比較平穩了。

此外,我的體重持續在減少,由原來的205磅減到185磅,走「八卦」一共幫我減掉20磅,我真的好開心!

Practice Energy Bagua gives me relaxation, slimming and hearing improvements!

I am a high school teacher. I teach biology and geography. I typically need to pay much attention to the learning situation for all profiles of students, and found many issues that irritated me. Whenever the pressure to perform rose, I would experience heart palpitations (unhealthy fluctuations in heartbeat rates).

I grew up in the highlands, and after moving to Los Angeles in the year 2000, the change in altitude resulted in negative pressure in my ears, causing my hearing to deteriorate. There were times when I could not clearly hear my students speak in class.

Subsequently, I was introduced to Bodhi Meditation by my wife. In April 2017, I participated in the Energy Bagua foundation class. When I started practicing initially, it was difficult for me to focus. I was also lethargic. But after two days, it became easier, and the more relaxed I was, the more I could focus not only my mind, my body would also be full of energy.

After practicing the Energy Bagua for 3 months, my hearing improved, and I could clearly hear the students speak in class! Moreover, when I encountered various student issues, I could remain calm while resolving them. I realized that there was less burden on my heart, and felt that my heart was serene. I did not tense up as easily; my heartbeat was also relatively stable.

In addition, my weight continued to regulate, falling from the original 205 pounds to 185 pounds. Practicing the Energy Bagua helped me lose 20 pounds; I was really happy!

The Energy Bagua is particularly beneficial, so now as long as I am less busy at work, I will practice it.

我一直認為四肢靈活是身體健康的第一標準。因此,我五十幾歲就開始練太極拳。但我還是沒有擺脫歲月催人老的自然規律。

2012年開始,我的膝蓋開始疼,醫生說是膝蓋軟骨磨損造成的,手術是唯一的解決方法,但我沒有接受。每次膝蓋痛起來,就像針刺一般,我無法蹲下,穿褲子要坐著穿;還有明明我想走直路,結果不是偏左就是偏右,雙腳完全不聽使喚。
.
2015年我在朋友的推薦下認識了「菩提禪修」,參加了「八卦內功」基礎班,之後便天天走八卦。神奇的是,膝蓋疼痛隨著走八卦漸漸緩解了,大約走了一年多,我的膝蓋完全不痛了,不僅蹲坐自如,走路也能順利走直線了。

現在,我每天堅持走一小時八卦。

我感受到了從未有過的美好與清淨,我的內心多了一種說不出的喜悅,對周圍的人和事也有了興趣與熱忱,親戚朋友都說我比之前精神多了,也更年輕、好看了。謝謝師父!!

My legs follow my order.

Viewing agile limbs as the primary standard of health, I put much emphasis on physical training. I’d been practicing Taichi since my 50s. Nevertheless, I didn’t escape the fate that old age brought me.

My knees started to hurt in 2012. According to the doctor, my knee cartilages had worn. The only solution was surgery which I didn’t accept. It felt like pins and needles whenever my knees hurt. I couldn’t squat and had to sit when wearing my pants. My legs just didn’t follow my order; they couldn’t carry me to the direction I wanted to go to.

Introduced to Bodhi Meditation by a friend in 2015, I went to the basic Energy Bagua class. Ever since then, I practiced Energy Bagua every single day. It was so unbelievable that knee pain gradually disappeared. A year later, my knees were not painful anymore.

Now, I can squat, sit and walk as will. I insist to practice Energy Bagua an hour a day.

Meditation brings me peace and the best experience that I’ve ever had. I feel indescribable joy. I’m enthusiastic about the people and things around. Relatives and friends say that I am much younger, prettier and more energetic than I used to be. Thank you Master!!

My legs follow my order. 
 
Viewing agile limbs as the primary standard of health, I put much emphasis on physical training. I’d been practicing Taichi since my 50s. Nevertheless, I didn’t escape the fate that old age brought me. 
 
My knees started to hurt in 2012. According to the doctor, my knee cartilages had worn. The only solution was surgery which I didn’t accept. It felt like pins and needles whenever my knees hurt. I couldn’t squat and had to sit when wearing my pants. My legs just didn’t follow my order; they couldn’t carry me to the direction I wanted to go to. 
 
Introduced to Bodhi Meditation by a friend in 2015, I went to the basic Energy Bagua class. Ever since then, I practiced Energy Bagua every single day. It was so unbelievable that knee pain gradually disappeared. A year later, my knees were not painful anymore. 
  
Now, I can squat, sit and walk as will. I insist to practice Energy Bagua an hour a day. 
  
Meditation brings me peace and the best experience that I’ve ever had. I feel indescribable joy. I’m enthusiastic about the people and things around. Relatives and friends say that I am much younger, prettier and more energetic than I used to be.  Thank you Master!!

2006年初,我的婚姻亮起了紅燈,從此我對前夫充滿了怨恨,長時間生悶氣使我的身體像被堵住了似的,腹部硬得像一塊石頭。
.
此外,在兒子咿呀學語的時候,我就離家在外,後來又到韓國謀生,幾乎沒有親自撫育過他。兒子恨我在他成長路上的缺席,我卻感到很委屈:我離家在外賺錢完全是為了他,他怎麼能不理解我,反而怪我呢?
.
身體的虛弱、精神的折磨,讓我常常想要了結生命,可是一想到年邁的母親和未成年的孩子,我怎麼都狠不下心來。
.
2014年5月,朋友帶我來到釜山松亭菩提禪修中心。
.
在第一次誦念觀世音菩薩聖號時,我的眼淚竟控制不住地滾落下來。第二天中午,我獨自來到金菩提宗師的法相前,恭敬地禮拜,禮拜中,我彷彿感覺自己就是我的孩子,開始體會到孩子沒有媽媽陪伴的苦楚。我好後悔,當初怎麼就沒想到母子分離會給孩子帶來傷痛呢?我虧欠孩子太多了!懺悔的淚水止不住地流,哭著哭著,腦海裡突然出現一個化解的方法。

母親節那天,我鼓起勇氣打電話給孩子,向他真誠地道歉。那一天,我們聊到了半夜。後來,我看到兒子在社交軟件裡寫道:「20歲的母親節我永遠也忘不了,我的媽媽是世上最好的媽媽。我最愛我的媽媽。」那一瞬間,我的心好暖好暖。

禪修兩個月後,我有了力氣,從開始走「八卦」兩腿一直哆嗦,到後來能走1小時,上樓也不再氣喘吁吁了。有一次我在法物室裡竟搬起了一整箱的貨物!
.
2014年11月至2015年2月,我每天只喝一點水,吃一點水果,卻既不餓也不累,反而精神十足,身心清淨。此後,我的腸胃功能越來越好,胃口也好起來了。
.
2017年5月,我徹底化解了對前夫的怨恨,再想到他,心中已十分平靜了。從那以後,我發現腹部變得柔軟,身體也通暢了。
.
現在的我,我覺得自己好幸福、好幸運,不由自主地開始感恩身邊的一切。時不時地呵呵笑著,看到隨風而下的落葉都像是在跳舞,每個人的臉都像一朵朵盛開的蓮花……,大夥都說我就像變了一個人似的!

是啊,在溫暖如春的菩提大家庭裡,我能不變嗎?

Meditation helped her reconcile with her son and regain her health!

At the beginning of 2006, my marriage hit a rough patch. Since then, I became full of resentment towards my ex-husband. Harboring grudges over extended periods resulted in my body seemingly obstructed – my abdomen felt as stiff as a rock.

In addition, while my son was learning to talk, I was away from home in Korea to make a living, with hardly any time to personally nurture him. My son hated my regular absence during his growing-up period but I felt most wronged. I had left home to earn money to provide for him, how could he not understand, and blame me instead?

My physical fragility and spiritual torment often made me want to end my life, but the thought of my elderly mother and underage child held me back, as I could not bear to do so.

In May 2014, my friend brought me to the Busan Songjeong Bodhi Meditation Center.

The first time I recited the 「Chanting to Avalokitesvara」, tears streamed down uncontrollably. At noon the following day, I went personally before the picture of Grandmaster JinBodhi to pay respects. That was when I began to realize how my child had been feeling, his sense of helplessness in the absence of his mother. I felt most regretful. Why did I not consider the separation pain that would have afflicted my child? I owed too much to him! My tears of repentance could not ease. As I cried, a solution suddenly came to me.

On Mother’s Day, I plucked up the courage to call my child and sincerely apologize. That day, we chatted till midnight. Later, I saw my child comment in his social media page, “I will never forget the Mother’s Day in my 20th year. My mother is the best in the world and I love her most”. At that moment, my heart felt so warm.

After two months of meditative practices, I developed greater stamina and started Energy Bagua. Initially, it was arduous but over time, I was able to practice for 1 hour and no longer panted when I climb stairs. Once I even helped to move a whole box of items at the Center!

Between November 2014 to February 2015, I only drank little water and ate some fruit everyday. I had felt neither hungry nor tired, and was full of spirit physically, with mental clarity. Since then, my gut function had become better and my appetite much improved.

In May 2017, I completely let go of the resentment toward my ex-husband. I only felt calm at the thought of him. Following, I realized that my abdomen area had become ‘soft’ and my bodily functions, unobstructed.

Now, I feel so happy, so fortunate, and subconsciously grateful for everything around me. I laugh frequently, view falling leaves as if they are dancing in the wind, see everyone’s faces like blooming lotus flowers. People around me says I have changed, as if I am a different person!

Indeed, in the warm and big Bodhi Meditation family, how can I not change for the better?

菩提禅修青年营后, 大儿子会主动沟通, 小儿子成绩突飞猛进 My eldest son started to communicate with me and my younger son academic result improved tremendously after they join Bodhi Meditation Youth Camp.

▹ 青年营让小儿子潘泇缣学习成绩突飞猛进

小儿子潘泇缣从小学一直到初中,每次考试最多只能拿一个A。2017年12月他参加了菩提禅修青年营后,他的学习成绩突飞猛进。2018年9月考试竟然拿到了全A,而且全年级只有他拿到了全A。名次由年级的70、80名,进步到全年级前4名。

▹ 青年营让大儿子潘泇豪变得主动拥抱我

大儿子潘泇豪很少跟我们沟通,更拒绝我们的拥抱。不仅不跟我们主动讲话,连他弟弟每次问他问题时,他都会很不耐烦。而且他每次出去就像失踪了一样,从不打电话报平安。
2018年6月他参加菩提禅修青年营后,每次出门都会通过电话给我们报平安;还会经常主动找我们聊天;跟他弟弟经常有说有笑,关系越来越亲密了;更让我惊讶的是,他竟然会主动跟我们拥抱。

我很感恩金菩提宗師,让我的两个孩子有这么大的变化,期望禅师每一年都举办青年营,能够帮助更多的孩子和家庭。

▹ Bodhi Meditation Youth Camp improved my younger son’s academic results

Since primary school, the best result my youngest son has achieved is only one A. After he joined the Bodhi Meditation Youth Camp in December 2017, his results skyrocketed. During his exams in September 2018, he scored all As. He was the only student in his grade to get all As. His grade ranking improved from the 70th-80th to the 4th position.

▹ Bodhi Meditation Youth Camp Made Eldest Son take the Initiative to Hug Me and communicate

My eldest son Fung Jia Jun rarely talks to us. He avoids our hugs even more. Not only does he avoid talking to us, he gets impatient when his younger brother asks him questions. Every time he leaves the house, it’s as if he disappears. He would not leave us text messages.

Since joining Bodhi Meditation Youth Camp in June 2018, he started leaving us texts when he goes out. He started initiating conversations with us. He talked and joked around with his younger brother, their relationship improved. What surprised me even more was he took the initiative to give us a hug.

I am very grateful for Grandmaster JinBodhi that my son improved so much. I hope Grandmaster JinBodhi will organize Youth Camps every year so that more children and families will benefit from it.

青年禪修見證_藹昌
.
因為嚴重的皮膚敏感,她將自己封閉起來,不交朋友、不與親人談話,甚至和同屋的妹妹也沒有交流。
.
然而,現在的她卻能自信滿滿地站在台上,和大家侃侃而談,分享自己!
是什麼樣的故事,讓她重拾自信,綻放出像花兒一樣的美麗笑容呢?
一起來看看「藹昌」的禪修故事。
.
以下是「藹昌」的禪修見證分享…
.
「我有遺傳的皮膚敏感,醫生說是溼疹。從小到大,我不能吃海鮮、不能吃豆類、不能讓皮膚碰到灰塵……。然而,即便處處小心翼翼,我的脖子上、胳膊上、腿的關節處也會布滿紅色斑點,癢到我不停地去撓,直至皮膚脫皮、裂開、流血,每次洗澡碰到水時都很痛。我每兩個月都要看一次醫生,醫生說,這種病目前無法根治,只能靠吃藥、塗藥來控制。很多時候,皮膚癢得我難以入睡,使我第二天上課無精打采。」
.
我總感覺別人在用異樣的眼神看著我。我常謊稱自己不舒服而穿上長袖衣服、戴上口罩,把紅點遮掩起來。上台時,常常還沒說話就開始發抖。每次同學聚會,我都找理由拒絕,我害怕被人問起自己的皮膚……。」
.
4年前,溼疹蔓延到了我的臉上,這使我變得更加自閉了。
.
我的母親看在眼裡,疼在心上。第二年的一月,媽媽帶著我參加了8天半健身班。在一次能量加持中,我止不住地哭起來,哭著哭著,突然忍不住「哇」地一聲吐了出來。
.
「吐完後第二天,我感覺比以往輕鬆了很多,特別精神、爽快,心情十分愉悅。從那次之後,周圍的人開始跟我說:『妳的臉不那麼紅了!』我的腿上、胳膊上、關節處的搔癢面積越來越小,幾個月之後,我就不需要再去看醫生了,也不需要再吃藥、抹藥了。」

健身班上,金菩提宗師的開示給了我很多啟發。「師父講過:『每個人都不是完美的,不要因為自己的不完美而放棄與精彩世界接觸的機會。』我覺得這句話好像是說給我聽的。我想我不應該因為溼疹而拒絕和朋友出去玩,錯過那麼多的精彩。我要勇於面對自己的不完美!」

健身班結業那天,我突破了自己,勇敢地走到台前分享自己的故事。「我可以在近百人面前分享自己的受益,這在以前是不敢想像的。
.
真的非常感恩「菩提禪修」幫助我擺脫皮膚敏感,使我重新擁有了美麗、自信、陽光、快樂的生活。做家教時,和小朋友、家長交流沒有任何障礙;在學校裡,面對老師和同學做陳述時也可以侃侃而談。
.
現在的我獨立了,很多事情能夠自己做決定。
.
中學三年級時,我和班裡的11個同學一起去班格島(Pulau Pangkor)旅遊,整個旅程由我帶隊、安排酒店,大家玩得很開心!」

Below is Aichang’s meditation journey…

“I had hereditary skin allergy which was diagnosed by doctors as eczema. Since young, I had to abstain from seafood, bean related food products and distance myself from dusty areas…. However, despite how careful I was, my neck, arm and leg joints would still be filled with red spots. They were so itchy that I could not stop myself from scratching them. I would scratch till my skin started to peel and bleed. Whenever I bathed, I would writhe in pain and agony when the affected areas contacted water. I needed to see a doctor every two month. According to the doctor, there was no cure for my condition at the moment. I could only control it by eating and applying medicines externally. I had to endure many sleepless nights because of the bad itch. As a result, I was always tired and listless the next day.

I was extremely self-conscious and often felt that people were staring at me. I always lied that I was sick and regularly covered my red spots by wearing long sleeve shirts and putting on mouth masks. When I was on stage, I shivered even before I opened my mouth to speak. Whenever there were classmates’ gathering, I would excuse myself and not joined them because I did not want people to ask me about my skin….”

4 years ago, eczema started to spread to my face. I closed myself up even more.

My mother felt upset when she saw my suffering. During January of the following year, I attended the 8.5 days Health and Happiness retreat with my mother. During one of the healing session, I cried uncontrollably. Suddenly, I lost control and vomited.

“I felt much lighter on the very next day. I was full of energy, happy and light. Since then, people around me started to tell me: “Your face is not as red as before!” The surface area of itch on my thighs, arms and joints became smaller. Few months later, I do not need to see a doctor, eat or apply medicines anymore.”

During the retreat, I received a lot of inspirations from Grandmaster JinBodhi’s teachings. According to Master: “No one is perfect. Do not give up the opportunity to interact with our interesting world because of our imperfection.” I felt that Master’s words were meant for me. I thought: I should not stop myself from having a good time with my friends just because of eczema. Therefore, I decided to face my own imperfection bravely!”

When the retreat ended, I overcame myself and bravely shared my own meditation benefits on stage. Sharing before a group of close to a hundred people was something I would never dare to do in the past.

I am really very grateful to Bodhi Meditation for helping me eliminate my skin allergy to regain beauty, self-confidence, enjoy an illuminated and happy life. I no longer have any problem communicating with young children and parents when doing tutoring. In school, I am able to speak eloquently with teachers and classmates.

Now I am independent and makes my own decision.

During my secondary 3 year, I even planned a trip to Pulau Pangkor with 11 other classmates. All of us had a great time!

「我有遺傳的皮膚敏感,醫生說是溼疹。從小到大,我不能吃海鮮、不能吃豆類、不能讓皮膚碰到灰塵……。然而,即便處處小心翼翼,我的脖子上、胳膊上、腿的關節處也會布滿紅色斑點,癢到我不停地去撓,直至皮膚脫皮、裂開、流血,每次洗澡碰到水時都很痛。我每兩個月都要看一次醫生,醫生說,這種病目前無法根治,只能靠吃藥、塗藥來控制。很多時候,皮膚癢得我難以入睡,使我第二天上課無精打采。」

我總感覺別人在用異樣的眼神看著我。我常謊稱自己不舒服而穿上長袖衣服、戴上口罩,把紅點遮掩起來。上台時,常常還沒說話就開始發抖。每次同學聚會,我都找理由拒絕,我害怕被人問起自己的皮膚……。」

However, despite how careful I was, my neck, arm and leg joints would still be filled with red spots. They were so itchy that I could not stop myself from scratching them. I would scratch till my skin started to peel and bleed. Whenever I bathed, I would writhe in pain and agony when the affected areas contacted water. I needed to see a doctor every two month. According to the doctor, there was no cure for my condition at the moment. I could only control it by eating and applying medicines externally. I had to endure many sleepless nights because of the bad itch. As a result, I was always tired and listless the next day.

I was extremely self-conscious and often felt that people were staring at me. I always lied that I was sick and regularly covered my red spots by wearing long sleeve shirts and putting on mouth masks. When I was on stage, I shivered even before I opened my mouth to speak. Whenever there were classmates’ gathering, I would excuse myself and not joined them because I did not want people to ask me about my skin….”

4 years ago, eczema started to spread to my face. I closed myself up even more.

My mother felt upset when she saw my suffering. During January of the following year, I attended the 8.5 days Health and Happiness retreat with my mother. During one of the healing session, I cried uncontrollably. Suddenly, I lost control and vomited.

“I felt much lighter on the very next day. I was full of energy, happy and light. Since then, people around me started to tell me: “Your face is not as red as before!” The surface area of itch on my thighs, arms and joints became smaller. 真誠地念佛 供燈究竟會產生多大的效用?

下面是馬來西亞學員須嫣的禪修故事:

在孩子小的時候,我經常早出晚歸地工作,很少照顧孩子的生活起居,也很少和孩子溝通。從小到大,孩子們都沒有叫我「媽媽」,有事情要溝通時,多數都是通過丈夫在中間傳話。
.
我學習菩提禪修以後,意識到身為媽媽,我並沒有盡到當媽媽的責任,於是向孩子們道歉,并問我的兒子和女兒,是不是怨恨我。孩子們都敞開心扉對我講,他們從來沒有怨恨過我,知道我辛苦工作是為了家。現在孩子們都會叫我「媽媽」了,還時常帶我出去一起玩。
.
退休後,孩子們都非常有孝心,每月都主動給我錢。我把他們給我的錢,拿出大部分來布施、做功德。很明顯,這樣做之後,他們的工作和生活非常順利,我們一家人更加和諧、快樂了。
.
在最近一次的念佛班中,我深深地體會到念佛和供燈的利益是多麼巨大。
.
課程第1天,丈夫就告訴我,醫生說二女兒可能需要動心臟手術。於是,我們夫妻倆就在禪堂為女兒供燈,并真誠念佛,希望她能夠順利度過這一關。神奇的是,第3天,醫生就告知我們,女兒不用做手術了!
.
我真的非常感恩師父和佛菩薩,讓我找回親情,和孩子的感情變好了,家庭和諧了。我要繼續發心當志工,服務好大眾,讓更多有緣人都能夠幸福和快樂。

What are the effects of chanting sincerely and offering lights to the Buddha?

Below is the meditation journey of Xuyan, a Malaysian student:

When my children were still young, I leave the house early in the morning to work, only to return late at night. Hence I was not involved in taking care of my children’s daily needs and seldom communicate with them. Since young, I have never heard them calling me “Mum”. If they have things to tell me, they would generally tell my husband and he would then convey their message to me. As such, my husband became a messenger between my children and I.

I only came to realize that I have failed to fulfill my responsibility as a mother after I joined Bodhi Meditation. I apologized to my children and asked my son and daughter whether they resented me. They were rather open and reassured me they do not resent me. They knew I worked so hard for the benefit of our family. Now my children addresses me as “Mum” and often bring me out for outings.

After I retire, my children are very filial and give me allowances voluntarily. I would donate majority of the allowances they give me to help the needy. Since I am accumulating karmic merits on their behalf, their life and career become more smooth sailing. Our family become more harmonious and happy.

During a recent chanting class, I experience for myself the immense benefits of chanting and offering lights to Buddha.

On the first day of the class, my husband told me my second daughter had to undergo heart surgery. Hence we make light offering for her at Bodhi Meditation Center and chanted sincerely, hoping that the surgery would be a success. Miraculously, on the third day, the doctor told us my daughter need not undergo the surgery!

I am really very grateful to Buddha, Bodhisattvas and Grandmaster JinBodhi. With their blessings, my relationship with my children improve and I am able to experience family harmony and happiness. I want to continue working as a volunteer to serve sentient beings and to help more karmic-bonded people regain happiness.

What are the effects of chanting sincerely and offering lights to the Buddha?

Below is the meditation journey of Xuyan, a Malaysian student:

When my children were still young, I leave the house early in the morning to work, only to return late at night. Hence I was not involved in taking care of my children’s daily needs and seldom communicate with them. Since young, I have never heard them calling me “Mum”. If they have things to tell me, they would generally tell my husband and he would then convey their message to me. As such, my husband became a messenger between my children and I.

I only came to realize that I have failed to fulfill my responsibility as a mother after I joined Bodhi Meditation. I apologized to my children and asked my son and daughter whether they resented me. They were rather open and reassured me they do not resent me. They knew I worked so hard for the benefit of our family. Now my children addresses me as “Mum” and often bring me out for outings.

After I retire, my children are very filial and give me allowances voluntarily. I would donate majority of the allowances they give me to help the needy. Since I am accumulating karmic merits on their behalf, their life and career become more smooth sailing. Our family become more harmonious and happy.

During a recent chanting class, I experience for myself the immense benefits of chanting and offering lights to Buddha.

On the first day of the class, my husband told me my second daughter had to undergo heart surgery. Hence we make light offering for her at Bodhi Meditation Center and chanted sincerely, hoping that the surgery would be a success. Miraculously, on the third day, the doctor told us my daughter need not undergo the surgery!

I am really very grateful to Buddha, Bodhisattvas and Grandmaster JinBodhi. With their blessings, my relationship with my children improve and I am able to experience family harmony and happiness. I want to continue working as a volunteer to serve sentient beings and to help more karmic-bonded people regain happiness.

在一次馬來西亞念佛班課堂上,她鼓起了勇氣分享…
(以下是璔濟師姐的禪修見證分享)

在兩歲的時候,我跌傷了右腿,右膝做了手術,因為當時治療不當,術後沒有及時矯正好,造成我的右腿比左腿短,變成長短腿。此後,我走路時無法掌握平衡,每當身體姿勢不當時,腰椎都會疼痛,所以,我不能跪立。這個問題讓我痛苦了好多年,我覺得這可能是自己的業力太重所致。
.
在這個念佛班中,為了消除我的業力,我嘗試著跪立念佛。六十多年來,我從來沒有試過跪立,但是這次就算身體疼痛,我也要這樣做。我想如果我在念佛中能忍受得了疼痛,可能業力也會被消除吧!於是,我就在念佛時把墊子墊高,望向藥師佛,然後真誠地跪立念佛。

在一整天將近七個小時的念佛中,我竟然跪立著念佛有3個小時之久,我感到很驚訝。一開始跪立時,我的膝蓋很痛,但是第二天,疼痛就消失了。而且,跪立念佛後,我發現腿和腰椎的疼痛竟減輕了好多。能夠跨越身體上的障礙,我好高興!

還有一個心性上很大的突破。以前我做事情總是非常衝動,遇到事情不能平靜地去思考。這次課程中聽到師父開示「意識光明」時提到,我們在情緒升起時,要先平靜下來,慢慢地思考,想好了再去做決定,這樣,錯誤至少會減少一半。我會牢記師父說的話,按照師父的教導去做,時刻提醒自己不要貪婪,要懂得感恩,懂得用慈悲心對待人和事,同時,我也會更加積極做志工,以幫助更多的人。

During a chanting class held in Malaysia, she mustered her courage to share…
(the following is Dharma sister Zengji’s meditation journal)

When I was just two years old, I fell and hurt my right leg. As a result, I had an operation done on my right kneecap. However, because the treatment was not properly administered, my right leg became shorter than my left leg. Hence I became badger-legged. Since then, I have difficulty balancing whenever I walk. When my body posture is not proper or straight, I would experience pain in my lumbar vertebra. Therefore, I am not able to kneel down. This problem troubled me for many years. I felt that it was the manifestation of my negative karma.

In this chanting class, I tried to maintain a kneeling position when I was chanting so as to eradicate my negative karma. For more than 60 years, I have not kneeled down. However, this time round, I insisted on kneeling though it brought me excruciating pain. I thought that if I could put up with the pain during chanting class, my negative karma would be eliminated! Hence, I adjusted the padding of my cushions, turned my face towards Medicine Buddha and sincerely chanted in a kneeling position.

I am very surprised to find that I could remain kneeling for 3 out of the 7 hours in the day. When I first started to kneel down, my kneecap was extremely painful. However, on the second day, the pain disappeared. Moreover, after chanting in a kneeling position, the pain in my legs and lumbar vertebra reduced significantly. I am very happy to be able to overcome my body obstacles!

I also experienced a spectacular breakthrough spiritually. In the past, I was prone to impulsive actions. I was not able to think through things calmly. In one of Master’s teachings, he reminded us to calm ourselves down when we are in a state of agitation and to consider our options before acting. In this way, we reduce the likelihood of making wrong decisions by half. I will always remember what Master said and try to abide by his instructions. I always remind myself not to be greedy but instead be grateful and compassionate towards people. At the same time, I will be more active in volunteering so as to help more people.

念佛班的第一天,我為一位患重病的師姐念佛祈福。
在念佛時,我特別地真誠,心中想著把功德都迴向給她,希望她能夠恢復健康。神奇的是,約兩三天後,我太太打電話給那位病重的師姐,得知她的身體已明顯改善了,人也變得精神了,也才體會到原來真誠的念佛,效用特別的好。

其實,在進入菩提禪修之前,我的壞習慣很多,酗酒、熱衷於吃喝玩樂。
.
不過,2016年,我和太太去甲洞菩提禪堂參加共修,練習了「大光明修持法」,當下我就感覺很好,馬上迎請了一片《大光明修持法》CD回家,開始每天在家修練,即使有時出差人在國外,我也不會忘了修練。
.
到現在,我進入菩提禪修兩年了,我已經把壞習慣改掉了,還把之前胡亂花費的錢省下來做慈善。未來,我希望自己能多布施,多幫人,為自己以及後輩子孫多積些福德、功德。

A pleasant surprise from the Chanting Class

(Below is meditation journal of Laihai from Malaysia)

From the first day of the chanting class, I had resolved to pray for a fellow practitioner who was very ill. As I chanted, I dedicated all the merits accumulated from the chanting to her, in the hope that it will make her better. About two to three days later, my wife gave the lady a call. Happily, we found out that her situation has improved and she was a lot more energetic than before. That is also when we realized sincere chanting can produce wonderful results.

Actually, I had a lot of bad habits before I came for classes at Bodhi Meditation. I drank excessively and was always preoccupied with fun, good food and drinks.

In 2016, my wife and I practiced the Meditation of Greater Illumination during the group practice in Kepong Bodhi Meditation Center. I felt so good after the practice that I got the CD immediately. Since then, I have been practicing every day, even when I am on business trips.

It has been two years since I joined Bodhi Meditation. I have kicked my bad habits and have donated the money that I saved to charity. It is my wish to be able to be more giving and help more people. At the same time, build more virtues and merits for myself and my future generations.

Happily, we found out that her situation has improved and she was a lot more energetic than before. That is also when we realized sincere chanting can produce wonderful results.
  
Actually, I had a lot of bad habits before I came for classes at Bodhi Meditation. I drank excessively and was always preoccupied with fun, good food and drinks. 
 
In 2016, my wife and I practiced the Meditation of Greater Illumination during the group practice in Kepong Bodhi Meditation Center. I felt so good after the practice that I got the CD immediately. Since then, I have been practicing every day, even when I am on business trips. 
 
It has been two years since I joined Bodhi Meditation. I have kicked my bad habits and have donated the money that I saved to charity. It is my wish to be able to be more giving and help more people. At the same time, build more virtues and merits for myself and my future generations.

74歲的超眾,因為親侄的介紹,而認識了菩提禪修。這個機緣,為她的晚年帶來了一點愉快的色彩。
「行路時,地板總是軟軟的。」起初聽到超眾的描述,一時之間還搞不清楚她的問題。凡事應該腳踏實地,這已是老生常談,但超眾卻辦不到,因為她的感官異於常人,雙腳踏在地上時總是軟軟的,毫無結實的感覺。「醫生說是我感官神經退化了,而非骨的問題。」由於這樣的問題,超眾的親侄向她介紹了八卦內功,希望藉著八卦改善她的步伐。
自從2017年4月起,超眾每天勤練八卦,天天都走。儘管感官神經的問題已是不可逆轉,超眾的步伐卻一天比一天穩定,外表看來與常人根本沒有分別。
「看到腳趾甲健康地長出來,我真的很開心。」原來除了步伐的問題,超眾一直受甲癬困擾,趾甲都變形了,但經走了八卦幾個月後,她喜出望外地發現,甲癬已經遠離她了。此外,如老人斑、飛蚊症等問題,竟也隨著修行消失了,對超眾而言已是一份令人驚喜的禮物。
在訪問之中,超眾處處流露出感恩和知足:「兒孫子女都長大了,孫也二十多歲了,我可以做一些自己喜歡的事。」超眾那熱情的笑容,彷彿在訴說著,禪堂已是她的第二個家,只要每日能夠來到禪堂,已經是她最開心的事。
通過禪修,74歲的超眾獲得如同年輕人一般的精力,她現在也成為了義工,每天也為禪堂服務。「現在很早便睡了,大概晚上七時多便睡了,到早上四時半,電話響了,我便要起床,乘坐五時半的頭班車,大約六時多來到禪堂。」日日如是,堅持修行,不斷付出。
只要有著感恩心和慈悲心,每個人也能走出自己的菩薩之道。超眾平凡的故事,也許就是我們繼續走下去的好榜樣。rnrn【健康,是最好的福報。】

人,一生勞勞碌碌,總期盼著老了能夠享享清福,等盼到一切都如願的時候,身體卻開始不聽使喚了,她的身體因為感官神經退化,不但享不了清福,更飽受疾病纏身之苦。

直到,她來到菩提學習走八卦,終於解決了身體上的煩惱,重獲新生,這真是有福!

【Health is the best blessing】
People usually work hard all their lives hoping to enjoy the blessings when they are old. However, when everything is fulfilled, their health has also deteriorated. Due to degeneration of her sensory nerves, she was not able to enjoy life when old, and also suffered from illness.
After coming to Bodhi to learn Energy Bagua, her health issues are resolved and she regained her life. This is a blessing!
Knowing that she is healthy again, I feel happier than her!
