The Story of Yuan Liao Fan
From a young age, a fortune teller predicted Yuan Liao Fan’s life:
that his achievements would be limited, he would have no children, and he would die at the age of 53.
To his surprise, these predictions came true one by one.
He became completely convinced that life had already been written — as if everything were predetermined.
Until one day, he met a Zen master, who awakened him with a single sentence:
👉 “Destiny is created by oneself; blessings are sought by oneself.”
From then on, he practiced kindness, accumulated virtue, and changed his heart and character —
and his destiny began to change as well.
