在一次的法會上,金菩提宗師說:
「一件事情要你做,就一定有它的因緣。」這句話深深烙在我心中。
.
我想起兩年來做志工的日子,對我來說是一個很大的考驗。我在菩提是關懷組的志工,做關懷需要有愛心和耐心,要很慈悲。但是剛開始我並不知道什麼是「慈悲」。
.
所以在服務大眾的過程中,當主管老師或師兄師姐讓我處理某些事情時,我都會有一些不情願,會想:「為什麼要我去做,而不是叫其他人做呢?」很多時候,我表面上服從主管,其實內心還是會質疑和抗拒;和同修們相處時,我也免不了和他們有摩擦。每當這種情況發生時,我就會產生退轉心。
.
但是這次在師父的開示中,我明白了因果,明白了「要你做一定是有原因的」這個道理。我覺得這就是師父對我的加持,我懂得了修行是需要經過很多磨練的,之後在服務的過程,再也不會升起煩惱心了。

令我印象深刻的還有師父的「金口玉言」加持。
.
我始終有一個願望,是希望師父加持我能精進修行,在今世覺行圓滿。這天,我的願望達成了,當師父念出我的這個願望後,在接下來的課程裡,我真的不曾有一點昏沉,師父開示的每一句話,我都記得清清楚楚,甚至還有剎那間的開悟的感覺。

當天,我回去見媽媽,見到媽媽她正推著自行車要外出,於是我就沖去抱著她,對她說:「媽媽,我愛妳!」她笑得非常開心。
.
接著,我又把師父加持過的礦泉水送給媽媽。看到她歡喜,我竟也感動得流淚。
.
好感恩師父給我力量,讓我勇於表達我的愛。

Meditation does not just improve our health. In fact, in the long run, it transforms our entire life!

The following is Fanguai’s testimonial sharing.

Grandmaster JinBodhi said in one of the Dharma Events: “There is a reason for every thing that you have to do.” This sentence created a deep impression on me.

Looking back, the two years that I have spent as a volunteer have presented many challenges to me. I am a volunteer in the caring team. As a care group member, I need to have a lot of patience, love and compassion. In the early days, I did not have a good grasp of what compassion was.

During those days, whenever I was asked to perform certain tasks, I would feel a bit resentful, with thoughts like “Why do I have to be the one to do it, instead of others?” I would complete the tasks that I was assigned but, in my heart, I would be unwilling and resentful. My interactions with my fellow dharma practitioners suffered as a result of my poor attitude. Whenever friction arose between me and my fellow dharma practitioners, I had thoughts of dropping out.

From this particular dharma event, I came to understand causality. I understood the principle that “There must be a reason why you are asked to perform a certain task.” I felt that this was Master’s blessing for me. I also understood then that dharma practice requires us to overcome many tribulations and challenges. Since then, I no longer feel troubled in the course of volunteering.

Another instance of Master’s blessing that created a strong impression on me was Master’s “auspicious oracular words”.

I always had a wish that Master would bless me to be more diligent in my practice so that I can attain enlightenment in my current lifetime. My wish came true that day. Master read out my wish in class. For the rest of the class, I no longer felt drowsy. I could remember every word of Master’s dharma teachings. There was even a moment when I felt enlightened.

That very day, I went to visit my mother. As I saw her pushing her bicycle on the way out, I ran up to give her a big hug and said to her: “I love you, Mum!” Her smile lit up her face. I also gave her the bottle of water that had been blessed by Master. The look of happiness on her face moved me so much that I teared. I am very thankful to Master for giving me the strength and courage to express my love to my mother.

青年禪修見證_藹昌

因為嚴重的皮膚敏感,她將自己封閉起來,不交朋友、不與親人談話,甚至和同屋的妹妹也沒有交流。
.
然而,現在的她卻能自信滿滿地站在台上,和大家侃侃而談,分享自己!
是什麼樣的故事,讓她重拾自信,綻放出像花兒一樣的美麗笑容呢?
一起來看看「藹昌」的禪修故事。

以下是「藹昌」的禪修見證分享…
.
「我有遺傳的皮膚敏感,醫生說是溼疹。從小到大,我不能吃海鮮、不能吃豆類、不能讓皮膚碰到灰塵……。然而,即便處處小心翼翼,我的脖子上、胳膊上、腿的關節處也會布滿紅色斑點,癢到我不停地去撓,直至皮膚脫皮、裂開、流血,每次洗澡碰到水時都很痛。我每兩個月都要看一次醫生,醫生說,這種病目前無法根治,只能靠吃藥、塗藥來控制。很多時候,皮膚癢得我難以入睡,使我第二天上課無精打采。」
.
我總感覺別人在用異樣的眼神看著我。我常謊稱自己不舒服而穿上長袖衣服、戴上口罩,把紅點遮掩起來。上台時,常常還沒說話就開始發抖。每次同學聚會,我都找理由拒絕,我害怕被人問起自己的皮膚……。」
.
4年前,溼疹蔓延到了我的臉上,這使我變得更加自閉了。
.
我的母親看在眼裡,疼在心上。第二年的一月,媽媽帶著我參加了8天半健身班。在一次能量加持中,我止不住地哭起來,哭著哭著,突然忍不住「哇」地一聲吐了出來。
.
「吐完後第二天,我感覺比以往輕鬆了很多,特別精神、爽快,心情十分愉悅。從那次之後,周圍的人開始跟我說:『妳的臉不那麼紅了!』我的腿上、胳膊上、關節處的搔癢面積越來越小,幾個月之後,我就不需要再去看醫生了,也不需要再吃藥、抹藥了。」
.
健身班上,金菩提宗師的開示給了我很多啟發。「師父講過:『每個人都不是完美的,不要因為自己的不完美而放棄與精彩世界接觸的機會。』我覺得這句話好像是說給我聽的。我想我不應該因為溼疹而拒絕和朋友出去玩,錯過那麼多的精彩。我要勇於面對自己的不完美!」
.
健身班結業那天,我突破了自己,勇敢地走到台前分享自己的故事。「我可以在近百人面前分享自己的受益,這在以前是不敢想像的。
.
真的非常感恩「菩提禪修」幫助我擺脫皮膚敏感,使我重新擁有了美麗、自信、陽光、快樂的生活。做家教時,和小朋友、家長交流沒有任何障礙;在學校裡,面對老師和同學做陳述時也可以侃侃而談。
.
現在的我獨立了,很多事情能夠自己做決定。
.
中學三年級時,我和班裡的11個同學一起去班格島(Pulau Pangkor)旅遊,整個旅程由我帶隊、安排酒店,大家玩得很開心!」

Youth Meditation testimonial – Aichang

Due to serious skin allergy, she isolated herself and refused to socialize with others. In fact, she seldom communicated with her sister though they were living in the same house.

However, today she is able to speak eloquently and confidently on stage to share about herself!
How did she regain her self-confidence to smile beautifully like a flower?
Let us listen to Aichang’s meditation story.

Below is Aichang’s meditation journey…

“I had hereditary skin allergy which was diagnosed by doctors as eczema. Since young, I had to abstain from seafood, bean related food products and distance myself from dusty areas…. However, despite how careful I was, my neck, arm and leg joints would still be filled with red spots. They were so itchy that I could not stop myself from scratching them. I would scratch till my skin started to peel and bleed. Whenever I bathed, I would writhe in pain and agony when the affected areas contacted water. I needed to see a doctor every two month. According to the doctor, there was no cure for my condition at the moment. I could only control it by eating and applying medicines externally. I had to endure many sleepless nights because of the bad itch. As a result, I was always tired and listless the next day.

I was extremely self-conscious and often felt that people were staring at me. I always lied that I was sick and regularly covered my red spots by wearing long sleeve shirts and putting on mouth masks. When I was on stage, I shivered even before I opened my mouth to speak. Whenever there were classmates’ gathering, I would excuse myself and not joined them because I did not want people to ask me about my skin….”

4 years ago, eczema started to spread to my face. I closed myself up even more.

My mother felt upset when she saw my suffering. During January of the following year, I attended the 8.5 days Health and Happiness retreat with my mother. During one of the healing session, I cried uncontrollably. Suddenly, I lost control and vomited.

“I felt much lighter on the very next day. I was full of energy, happy and light. Since then, people around me started to tell me: “Your face is not as red as before!” The surface area of itch on my thighs, arms and joints became smaller. Few months later, I do not need to see a doctor, eat or apply medicines anymore.”

During the retreat, I received a lot of inspirations from Grandmaster JinBodhi’s teachings. According to Master: “No one is perfect. Do not give up the opportunity to interact with our interesting world because of our imperfection.” I felt that Master’s words were meant for me. I thought: I should not stop myself from having a good time with my friends just because of eczema. Therefore, I decided to face my own imperfection bravely!”

When the retreat ended, I overcame myself and bravely shared my own meditation benefits on stage. Sharing before a group of close to a hundred people was something I would never dare to do in the past.

I am really very grateful to Bodhi Meditation for helping me eliminate my skin allergy to regain beauty, self-confidence, enjoy an illuminated and happy life. I no longer have any problem communicating with young children and parents when doing tutoring. In school, I am able to speak eloquently with teachers and classmates.

Now I am independent and makes my own decision.

During my secondary 3 year, I even planned a trip to Pulau Pangkor with 11 other classmates. All of us had a great time!

Youth Meditation testimonial – Aichang

Due to serious skin allergy, she isolated herself and refused to socialize with others. In fact, she seldom communicated with her sister though they were living in the same house.

However, today she is able to speak eloquently and confidently on stage to share about herself!
How did she regain her self-confidence to smile beautifully like a flower?
Let us listen to Aichang’s meditation story.

Below is Aichang’s meditation journey…

“I had hereditary skin allergy which was diagnosed by doctors as eczema. Since young, I had to abstain from seafood, bean related food products and distance myself from dusty areas…. However, despite how careful I was, my neck, arm and leg joints would still be filled with red spots. They were so itchy that I could not stop myself from scratching them. I would scratch till my skin started to peel and bleed. Whenever I bathed, I would writhe in pain and agony when the affected areas contacted water. I needed to see a doctor every two month. According to the doctor, there was no cure for my condition at the moment. I could only control it by eating and applying medicines externally. I had to endure many sleepless nights because of the bad itch. As a result, I was always tired and listless the next day.

I was extremely self-conscious and often felt that people were staring at me. I always lied that I was sick and regularly covered my red spots by wearing long sleeve shirts and putting on mouth masks. When I was on stage, I shivered even before I opened my mouth to speak. Whenever there were classmates’ gathering, I would excuse myself and not joined them because I did not want people to ask me about my skin….”

4 years ago, eczema started to spread to my face. I closed myself up even more.

My mother felt upset when she saw my suffering. During January of the following year, I attended the 8.5 days Health and Happiness retreat with my mother. During one of the healing session, I cried uncontrollably. Suddenly, I lost control and vomited.

“I felt much lighter on the very next day. I was full of energy, happy and light. Since then, people around me started to tell me: “Your face is not as red as before!” The surface area of itch on my thighs, arms and joints became smaller. Few months later, I do not need to see a doctor, eat or apply medicines anymore.”

During the retreat, I received a lot of inspirations from Grandmaster JinBodhi’s teachings. According to Master: “No one is perfect. Do not give up the opportunity to interact with our interesting world because of our imperfection.” I felt that Master’s words were meant for me. I thought: I should not stop myself from having a good time with my friends just because of eczema. Therefore, I decided to face my own imperfection bravely!”

When the retreat ended, I overcame myself and bravely shared my own meditation benefits on stage. Sharing before a group of close to a hundred people was something I would never dare to do in the past.

I am really very grateful to Bodhi Meditation for helping me eliminate my skin allergy to regain beauty, self-confidence, enjoy an illuminated and happy life. I no longer have any problem communicating with young children and parents when doing tutoring. In school, I am able to speak eloquently with teachers and classmates.

Now I am independent and makes my own decision.

During my secondary 3 year, I even planned a trip to Pulau Pangkor with 11 other classmates. All of us had a great time!

「我有遺傳的皮膚敏感,醫生說是溼疹。從小到大,我不能吃海鮮、不能吃豆類、不能讓皮膚碰到灰塵……。然而,即便處處小心翼翼,我的脖子上、胳膊上、腿的關節處也會布滿紅色斑點,癢到我不停地去撓,直至皮膚脫皮、裂開、流血,每次洗澡碰到水時都很痛。我每兩個月都要看一次醫生,醫生說,這種病目前無法根治,只能靠吃藥、塗藥來控制。很多時候,皮膚癢得我難以入睡,使我第二天上課無精打采。」

在一次馬來西亞念佛班課堂上,她鼓起了勇氣分享…
(以下是璔濟師姐的禪修見證分享)

在兩歲的時候,我跌傷了右腿,右膝做了手術,因為當時治療不當,術後沒有及時矯正好,造成我的右腿比左腿短,變成長短腿。此後,我走路時無法掌握平衡,每當身體姿勢不當時,腰椎都會疼痛,所以,我不能跪立。這個問題讓我痛苦了好多年,我覺得這可能是自己的業力太重所致。

在這個念佛班中,為了消除我的業力,我嘗試著跪立念佛。六十多年來,我從來沒有試過跪立,但是這次就算身體疼痛,我也要這樣做。我想如果我在念佛中能忍受得了疼痛,可能業力也會被消除吧!於是,我就在念佛時把墊子墊高,望向藥師佛,然後真誠地跪立念佛。

在一整天將近七個小時的念佛中,我竟然跪立著念佛有3個小時之久,我感到很驚訝。一開始跪立時,我的膝蓋很痛,但是第二天,疼痛就消失了。而且,跪立念佛後,我發現腿和腰椎的疼痛竟減輕了好多。能夠跨越身體上的障礙,我好高興!

還有一個心性上很大的突破。以前我做事情總是非常衝動,遇到事情不能平靜地去思考。這次課程中聽到師父開示「意識光明」時提到,我們在情緒升起時,要先平靜下來,慢慢地思考,想好了再去做決定,這樣,錯誤至少會減少一半。我會牢記師父說的話,按照師父的教導去做,時刻提醒自己不要貪婪,要懂得感恩,懂得用慈悲心對待人和事,同時,我也會更加積極做志工,以幫助更多的人。

Sharing on health…

During a chanting class held in Malaysia, she mustered her courage to share…
(the following is Dharma sister Zengji’s meditation journal)

When I was just two years old, I fell and hurt my right leg. As a result, I had an operation done on my right kneecap. However, because the treatment was not properly administered, my right leg became shorter than my left leg. Hence I became badger-legged. Since then, I have difficulty balancing whenever I walk. When my body posture is not proper or straight, I would experience pain in my lumbar vertebra. Therefore, I am not able to kneel down. This problem troubled me for many years. I felt that it was the manifestation of my negative karma.

In this chanting class, I tried to maintain a kneeling position when I was chanting so as to eradicate my negative karma. For more than 60 years, I have not kneeled down. However, this time round, I insisted on kneeling though it brought me excruciating pain. I thought that if I could put up with the pain during chanting class, my negative karma would be eliminated! Hence, I adjusted the padding of my cushions, turned my face towards Medicine Buddha and sincerely chanted in a kneeling position.

I am very surprised to find that I could remain kneeling for 3 out of the 7 hours in the day. When I first started to kneel down, my kneecap was extremely painful. However, on the second day, the pain disappeared. Moreover, after chanting in a kneeling position, the pain in my legs and lumbar vertebra reduced significantly. I am very happy to be able to overcome my body obstacles!

I also experienced a spectacular breakthrough spiritually. In the past, I was prone to impulsive actions. I was not able to think through things calmly. In one of Master’s teachings, he reminded us to calm ourselves down when we are in a state of agitation and to consider our options before acting. In this way, we reduce the likelihood of making wrong decisions by half. I will always remember what Master said and try to abide by his instructions. I always remind myself not to be greedy but instead be grateful and compassionate towards people. At the same time, I will be more active in volunteering so as to help more people.

在這個念佛班中,為了消除我的業力,我嘗試著跪立念佛。六十多年來,我從來沒有試過跪立,但是這次就算身體疼痛,我也要這樣做。我想如果我在念佛中能忍受得了疼痛,可能業力也會被消除吧!於是,我就在念佛時把墊子墊高,望向藥師佛,然後真誠地跪立念佛。

在一整天將近七個小時的念佛中,我竟然跪立著念佛有3個小時之久,我感到很驚訝。一開始跪立時,我的膝蓋很痛,但是第二天,疼痛就消失了。而且,跪立念佛後,我發現腿和腰椎的疼痛竟減輕了好多。能夠跨越身體上的障礙,我好高興!

還有一個心性上很大的突破。以前我做事情總是非常衝動,遇到事情不能平靜地去思考。這次課程中聽到師父開示「意識光明」時提到,我們在情緒升起時,要先平靜下來,慢慢地思考,想好了再去做決定,這樣,錯誤至少會減少一半。我會牢記師父說的話,按照師父的教導去做,時刻提醒自己不要貪婪,要懂得感恩,懂得用慈悲心對待人和事,同時,我也會更加積極做志工,以幫助更多的人。

During a chanting class held in Malaysia, she mustered her courage to share…
(the following is Dharma sister Zengji’s meditation journal)
  
When I was just two years old, I fell and hurt my right leg. As a result, I had an operation done on my right kneecap. However, because the treatment was not properly administered, my right leg became shorter than my left leg. Hence I became badger-legged. Since then, I have difficulty balancing whenever I walk. When my body posture is not proper or straight, I would experience pain in my lumbar vertebra. Therefore, I am not able to kneel down. This problem troubled me for many years. I felt that it was the manifestation of my negative karma.
 
In this chanting class, I tried to maintain a kneeling position when I was chanting so as to eradicate my negative karma. For more than 60 years, I have not kneeled down. However, this time round, I insisted on kneeling though it brought me excruciating pain. I thought that if I could put up with the pain during chanting class, my negative karma would be eliminated! Hence, I adjusted the padding of my cushions, turned my face towards Medicine Buddha and sincerely chanted in a kneeling position.
 
I am very surprised to find that I could remain kneeling for 3 out of the 7 hours in the day. When I first started to kneel down, my kneecap was extremely painful. However, on the second day, the pain disappeared. Moreover, after chanting in a kneeling position, the pain in my legs and lumbar vertebra reduced significantly. I am very happy to be able to overcome my body obstacles!
 
I also experienced a spectacular breakthrough spiritually. In the past, I was prone to impulsive actions. I was not able to think through things calmly. In one of Master’s teachings, he reminded us to calm ourselves down when we are in a state of agitation and to consider our options before acting. In this way, we reduce the likelihood of making wrong decisions by half. I will always remember what Master said and try to abide by his instructions. I always remind myself not to be greedy but instead be grateful and compassionate towards people. At the same time, I will be more active in volunteering so as to help more people.

在一次馬來西亞念佛班課堂上,她鼓起了勇氣分享...
(以下是璔濟師姐的禪修見證分享)

在兩歲的時候,我跌傷了右腿,右膝做了手術,因為當時治療不當,術後沒有及時矯正好,造成我的右腿比左腿短,變成長短腿。此後,我走路時無法掌握平衡,每當身體姿勢不當時,腰椎都會疼痛,所以,我不能跪立。這個問題讓我痛苦了好多年,我覺得這可能是自己的業力太重所致。

During a chanting class held in Malaysia, she mustered her courage to share…

十年前,我生孩子後患上了產後憂鬱症,又因為溝通上的問題,跟婆婆產生了很大的誤會,這也導致我跟先生的關係很差,我們甚至差點就離婚了。

十年來,我猶如生活在地獄中,時常恐慌、焦慮和憂鬱,對婆婆和先生有很多怨恨,又因為經濟緊張,我和先生已經有6年沒有去看望婆婆了。
.
今年11月,我陪先生上了念佛班。在念佛班上,師父教我們為父母長輩念佛,感念他們的恩德。我們兩個都很有感觸,商量了一下,就立刻去八百多裡外的吉打州看望婆婆。
.
見到婆婆後,我發現白髮蒼蒼的她身體比幾年前差了很多——右腿被螞蟻咬到後一直紅腫、流膿水,沒有力氣;右肩膀脫臼後留下了後遺症,右手不能舉高;每天睡覺胸口都很疼。沒想到,獨自生活的婆婆竟生活得如此艱難!我心裡好難受,很後悔沒有早點回來看望她。

看到婆婆身體不好,我就教她練「大光明修持法」。練了8天后,婆婆原來只能舉到胸口的手可以舉到額頭了。回到禪堂後,我又在禪堂幫婆婆供了一個月的祈福燈。

回到家,我還是經常打電話關心婆婆,她說現在整個人都輕鬆、舒服了。我和婆婆十年的心結就這樣解開了!我們的關係恢復到如母女一樣親密。

感恩菩提禪修讓我重拾幸福家庭!
現在的我很開心!

Recently, I heard of a story about the participant of a Malaysia’s Chanting class retreat. She underwent a lot of transformations which touched me deeply.

Let us listen to the story of Yougao…

The following is her meditation journal:

Ten years ago, I became afflicted with post natal depression after giving birth. As I had problems communicating with my mother-in-law, we had a huge misunderstanding and this affected my relationship with my husband. In fact, we almost divorced.

For the past ten years, I felt as if I was living in hell. I was often in a state of fear, anxiety and depression. I also detested my husband and mother- in-law. Due to financial constraints, my husband and I did not visit my mother-in-law for 6 years.

During November this year, I attended Bodhi’s Chanting class with my husband. During the class, the teacher taught us to chant for our parents and ancestors to express our gratitude. After the class, mixed feelings ran through our mind. Hence we decided to pay my mother-in-law a visit at Kedah, which is 800 miles away.

When I saw my mother-in-law, I saw that she had aged, her hair had turned white and her physical health had deteriorated— her right leg was swollen and pus constantly flowed from the wound inflicted by an ant bite. She looked frail and weak. The dislocation of her right shoulder led to her inability to raise her right hand high. When she slept at night, she experienced chest pain.

We did not know mother-in-law was going through such a hard life living alone! I regretted not paying her a visit earlier.

Looking at her health problems, I taught her the Meditation of Greater Illumination. After 8 days of practice, she can now raise her hand to her forehead. Previously, she could only raise her hand to her chest level. I also offered lights for her at Bodhi Meditation for a month.

Back at home, I called my mother-in-law regularly to ask after her health. She told me she felt more relaxed and comfortable as compared to before. Ten years of heart knot had been unlocked! Our relationship improved and we grew closer, as if we were mother and daughter.

Thanks to Bodhi Meditation I manage to regain my family happiness!

Now I am leading a happy life!

She looked frail and weak. The dislocation of her right shoulder led to her inability to raise her right hand high. When she slept at night, she experienced chest pain.

We did not know mother-in-law was going through such a hard life living alone! I regretted not paying her a visit earlier.

Looking at her health problems, I taught her the Meditation of Greater Illumination. After 8 days of practice, she can now raise her hand to her forehead. Previously, she could only raise her hand to her chest level. I also offered lights for her at Bodhi Meditation for a month.

Back at home, I called my mother-in-law regularly to ask after her health. She told me she felt more relaxed and comfortable as compared to before. Ten years of heart knot had been unlocked! Our relationship improved and we grew closer, as if we were mother and daughter.

Thanks to Bodhi Meditation I manage to regain my family happiness!

Now I am leading a happy life!

見到婆婆後,我發現白髮蒼蒼的她身體比幾年前差了很多——右腿被螞蟻咬到後一直紅腫、流膿水,沒有力氣;右肩膀脫臼後留下了後遺症,右手不能舉高;每天睡覺胸口都很疼。沒想到,獨自生活的婆婆竟生活得如此艱難!我心裡好難受,很後悔沒有早點回來看望她。

回到家,我還是經常打電話關心婆婆,她說現在整個人都輕鬆、舒服了。我和婆婆十年的心結就這樣解開了!我們的關係恢復到如母女一樣親密。

Recently, I heard of a story about the participant of a Malaysia’s Chanting class retreat. She underwent a lot of transformations which touched me deeply.

Let us listen to the story of Yougao…

The following is her meditation journal:

Ten years ago, I became afflicted with post natal depression after giving birth. As I had problems communicating with my mother-in-law, we had a huge misunderstanding and this affected my relationship with my husband. In fact, we almost divorced.

For the past ten years, I felt as if I was living in hell. I was often in a state of fear, anxiety and depression. I also detested my husband and mother- in-law. Due to financial constraints, my husband and I did not visit my mother-in-law for 6 years.

During November this year, I attended Bodhi’s Chanting class with my husband. During the class, the teacher taught us to chant for our parents and ancestors to express our gratitude. After the class, mixed feelings ran through our mind. Hence we decided to pay my mother-in-law a visit at Kedah, which is 800 miles away.

When I saw my mother-in-law, I saw that she had aged, her hair had turned white and her physical health had deteriorated— her right leg was swollen and pus constantly flowed from the wound inflicted by an ant bite. 2018年10月28日,沙登MAEPS上空,蓝天点缀着白云,阳光伴随着清风,整个蓝屋顶笼罩在一片欢乐祥和之中。

菩提禅修在这里举办了“2018药师佛圣诞加持法会”,有6000多位全马各地的民众参加了这场殊胜法会。

药师佛的每一个愿望皆从人类现世利益出发,让人丰衣足食,无病无灾,所求皆成。菩提法门也是药师佛法门,金菩提宗師以药师佛十二大愿为己任,几十年如一日传授禅法,无数人通过菩提禅修获得健康,快乐,富足。

而“药师佛圣诞加持法会“也成为菩提禅修最为盛大的法会。

“绕佛塔”是本次法会特色项目,一尊尊药师佛像供奉塔中,众来宾恭敬、虔诚地右绕佛塔,以期获得药师佛的加持和护佑。

法会开始前,万盏七彩灯被一一点亮,每一盏祥和的灯火皆是向药师佛许下的美好愿望。

法会上,主持禅师智光禅师带领一百多位加持师,以金菩提宗師慈悲念诵的《六字大明咒》为来宾加持。随后,数千人一起诵念《六字大明咒》,来自宇宙的强大能量如同潮水般一波波涌来,不断地冲刷着每一个人的身心灵,渐渐地,压力卸下了,烦恼消失了,仅一小时的加持和诵念,让来宾们感到意犹未尽,轻松自在,喜悦无比。

接下来,数千来宾跟随智光禅师激动地呐喊出:“你最慈悲”,“你最健康”,“你最自信”等口号,声音仿佛响彻宇宙,冲上云霄,祈愿将这这充满大能量的慈悲祝福送给无数无量的众生,每一个人的慈悲心在呐喊中逐渐放大。

见证分享同样温馨感人,东福师姐的两个女儿,同在一个屋檐下,但却十年没有说过话,而禅修却让两姐妹“化敌为友”。台上,当姐姐说出“对不起”三个字时,是对妹妹冷落十年的悔意,三人抱在一起泪流满面,禅修,让她们深刻领悟到手足情深的含义。

而珉溥师兄患有四、五年的失眠症, 仅仅一期健身班,让饱受失眠折磨的他,能够一觉到天亮。这些真实的案例让来宾见证着禅修的神奇。

法会的各功能区很热闹,展览区展览的金菩提宗師亲笔书画作品和多幅唐卡,吸引嘉宾驻足观赏,并闭上双眼感受着强大能量。此外,”福田米”成了抢手货,大众纷纷登记请购,要把 “福田米”布施给老人院、孤儿院和贫寒家庭。另外,八卦健身中心也很火爆,仅一多小时的时间就签发出近百张会员卡。

教妳如何包粽子

仲夏到粽飄香 支支桿子串成花。
想養生學包綜 料多味美在自家。
.
粽子的米一般可分成三大類:
1.湖州粽
糯米完全沒炒過,只有泡過,所以要水煮2小時以上。
湖州粽屬於單純的製作方式,但如果做的好,它的單純最能表現米飯的樸實和美味,吃起來口感清香而不膩,不容易發胖。

2.台灣南部粽
糯米炒到半熟入粽葉包好再下水煮。大約水煮1小時。
米飯的口感適合所有人們喜愛。
.
3.台灣北部粽
糯米炒熟才包入粽葉中,入粽葉包好再蒸熟。吃起來口感硬些,也相對油膩,容易發胖。(北部粽等於是炒熟的糯米飯,包在粽葉裡蒸蒸就吃。)

《教你包好粽》
材料:
糯米………………… 1000克
栗子………………100-200克
花生或米豆………100-200克
香菇……………………20朵
碎蘿蔔乾………………200克
蔬菜油…………………4大匙

調味料:
醬油……………………5大匙
素蠔油……………………2大匙
鹽……………………各1小匙
五香粉、胡椒粉……各1小匙

棕葉一串20粒……大葉20片(約100克)
純棉粽繩……………一串
.
做法:
1) 糯米、栗子、米豆(花生)、香菇泡水數小時瀝乾備用。栗子、香菇切半,一起放入鍋中滷15分鐘。
2) 蘿蔔乾洗淨,用1大匙油炒香。
3) 起油鍋,把1料加入翻炒,再加1杯香菇水,炒到水份收乾即可。
4)使用2片粽葉,捲成甜筒狀(尖的朝外)
先薄薄鋪一大匙糯米,放入各種餡料,再鋪兩大匙糯米蓋住餡。
5) 左手虎口掌握粽子,右手把葉梗摺回包好,用粽繩綁好。

6) 熱水燒開,把粽子下鍋以大火煮1小時即可。水量要淹過粽子,其間加水需加滾水,不可加冷水。

備註:
1.長糯米較硬,圓糯米較軟,可依自己喜歡的口感選擇。
2.不同粽子的粽葉都不同,購買時先向老闆詢問清楚。

The method of making rice dumplings

The fragrance of dumplings fills the air in mid summer.
Every rod is strung with what looks like flowers.
Learn how to make nutritious dumplings filled with wonderful ingredients at the comforts of your home.

Generally, there are 3 types of rice in making rice dumplings:

1. Huzhou dumplings
The glutinous rice is usually not fried, but boiled for 2 hours or more after soaking.
The method used to make Huzhou dumplings is simple. However, if done well, it is the best method to bring out the rice’s texture and fragrance. It is light, non-greasy and does not easily cause one to gain weight by eating it.

2. Taiwan Southern dumplings
The glutinous rice is fried till half-cooked before it is wrapped into the dumpling leaves and boiled in water for an hour till it is fully cook. The rice texture of this type of dumpling is generally well liked by most people.

3. Taiwan Northern dumplings
The glutinous rice is fried till fully cooked before wrapping it up with dumpling leaves and steam. The rice’s texture feels harder and is relatively greasier. Eating it would make one put on weight more easily. (For Northern dumplings, all that is needed is to steam the dumplings just before eating as the glutinous rice is already fully cooked).

《Method of making dumplings》
Ingredients:
1kg Glutinous rice
100-200g Chestnut
100-200g Peanut or rice beans
20 pieces Mushroom
200g Dried radish
4 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Condiments:
5 tablespoons Soya sauce
2 tablespoons Oyster sauce
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Five spices powder
1 teaspoon Pepper

20 large dumpling leaves to make a bundle of 20 dumplings
1 roll pure cotton string (to tie the dumplings)

Method:
1) Soak the glutinous rice, chestnut, rice bean (or peanut) and mushroom for a few hours before draining it for use. Cut the chestnut and mushroom into half and put them into a pot to stew for 15 minutes over medium fire.
2) Wash the dried radish and fry it till it is fragrant using 1 tablespoon of oil.
3) Light the stove with oil and fry all the ingredients in (1) then add in 1 cup of the mushroom stock. Fry till the stock has been soaked up by the ingredients.
4) Use 2 pieces of dumpling leaves and fold it into a tube shape (pointed edge to face downwards). Spread thinly a spoonful of glutinous rice, put in a variety of fillings and spread two spoons of glutinous rice to cover the fillings.
5) With your left hand holding the dumpling in between your thumb and fingers, use your right hand to fold the leave inwards then fasten with the string. (Pls refer to the video for details)
6) After the water has boiled, put the dumplings into the pot and boil the dumplings for about 1 hour using high fire. The dumplings should be immersed in the water. Do top up with boiling water during the cooking process instead of cold water.

Things to note:
1) Long-grained glutinous rice is harder as compared to the round-grained ones. Choose the type of glutinous rice based on your preference.
2) Different types of leaves are used for the different types of dumplings. Ask the shop selling the leaves before buying.

端午是華人社會最重要的大三節日之一,各地的華人都以不同的方式來慶祝節日,而粽子更是端午必吃的節日飲食,今年我們的交來禪堂包了兩款當地的特色素粽來跟大家分享,一甜一鹹,我也把食譜發上來,分享給想知道作法的朋友。也祝福大家身體健康,考生包中,佳節快樂!

【鹹味粽子】
備料:糯米、豆子、新鮮香菇、栗子、馬來香葉
作法:
1. 將糯米洗淨用油炒香
2. 新鮮香菇調味炒香
3. 將豆子、栗子、炒好的香菇、糯米、馬來香葉包入進洗淨的粽葉
4. 粽子綁好後放入鍋中煮上兩三小時即可

【甜味粽子】
備料:糯米、紅棗、豆子、冬瓜條
作法:
1.洗淨糯米

Dragon Boat Festival, Dumpling-making and Reunion
── Bodhi Meditation Centre in Cheras, Malaysia, Specialty vegetarian rice dumplings.

Dragon Boat Festival is one of the three most important and major festivals in the Chinese society. Chinese all over the world celebrate the festival in different ways, and rice dumplings is a must-eat during the Dragon Boat Festival. This year, the Bodhi Meditation Centre in Cheras prepared two varieties of the local specialty vegetarian rice dumplings to share with us – a sweet variety and a savory variety. I’m posting the recipe here to share with interested friends, and would like to take the opportunity to wish everyone excellent health, excellent results for candidates sitting for examinations, and a joyous festive season!

“Savory dumplings”
Ingredients:
glutinous rice
beans
fresh mushrooms
chestnuts
pandan leaves

Preparation:
1. Rinse the glutinous rice, then stir fry with oil for fragrance
2. Stir fry the mushrooms for fragrance
3. Wrap the beans, chestnuts, fried mushrooms, glutinous rice, pandan leaves in clean dumpling leaves
4. Cook the neatly wrapped and tied dumplings in a pot for two or three hours

“Sweet dumplings”
Ingredients:
glutinous rice
red dates
beans
winter melon strips

Preparation:
1. Rinse the glutinous rice
2. Wrap the glutinous rice, red dates, beans and winter melon strips into the dumpling leaves, place them in the pot to cook for two or three hours
