《浴佛禮讚》——永恆的感恩

在浴佛節吉祥大加持法會中，我和大家一起浴佛，並頌唱了最新的《浴佛禮讚》。我心裡非常的歡喜。
.
對於宗教，通常人們談論的是對於宗教的信和不信。對於我來說：佛陀帶給我的是讓我起死回生——從一個病苦的孩子、一個完全沒有希望的孩子，成長成為一個健康的人、甚至成為能夠學習、應用佛法來幫助大眾的人。
.
佛陀帶給我這麼多的好處、益處，每次想起來就好感動，有一種永遠的感恩。
.
在幾年前的浴佛節期間，我花了幾天的時間，將對佛陀的感恩寫了出來，並請人把它譜成曲子，這次又有機緣親自頌唱並錄製下來，希望分享給有緣人，讓大家都能抽空唱一唱，讓我們每天都活在對佛陀的感恩之中。當我們每天都活在一種感恩心裡頭，我們就會幸福、吉祥。

‘A Hymn to the Buddha’ – An Eternal Gratitude

During the ‘Bathing The Buddha Blessing Ceremony’ two days ago, we had the auspicious opportunity of ‘bathing the Buddha’ as we sang the latest release of the song, ‘A Hymn to the Buddha’. The occasion brought me immense joy.

When it comes to religion , people tend to be concerned over belief or non-belief. In my perspective, the Buddha bestowed me with the opportunity to regain my life – from a child stricken with much suffering and illnesses, one who was completely devoid of hope, to a healthy person, one who could even start to learn and then apply the sacred Dharma to help sentient beings.

The Buddha has brought me immeasurable benefits, so much so that every time I think about it, I am immensely moved, and feel an eternal sense of gratitude to the World Honored One.

During the ‘Bathing the Buddha Blessing Ceremony’ a few years ago, I took a few days to contemplate and express my gratitude to the Buddha. I also requested that these lyrics be composed into music. With this opportunity to personally sing and record the Hymn, I hope to share it with everyone with karmic bonds, so that we can all sing the Hymn in praise of the Buddha, and spend every day in our lives in gratitude of the Buddha. When we live with a sense of gratitude in our hearts every day, we will enjoy true and lasting happiness and auspiciousness.

A Hymn to the Buddha

To the All-Compassionate Buddha,
the most esteemed and enlightened in the Universe,
with my purest and truest heart,
I’m filled with deep gratitude for your presence.

Your loving-kindness sets me free.
Your wondrous dharma brings me health and peace.
Your Universal love expands my heart to embrace all.
Your great vows inspire me to follow in your footsteps for eternity.
May I be reborn a million times to worship at your feet.
I am as one with you forever, that I may share your dharma treasures with all.
May I be reborn a million times to spread your great compassion,
that suffering souls may find the sweet dew of hope,
and sentient beings may find comfort and auspiciousness.

Through your gaze, I see the truth.
Your grandeur lifts me to bear the unbearable.
Uplifted by your noble virtues, I am brave.
Your words guide me to enlightenment.
May I be reborn a million times to worship at your feet.
I am as one with you forever, that I may share your dharma treasures with all.
May I be reborn a million times to spread your great compassion,
that suffering souls may find the sweet dew of hope,

Your radiance illuminates my heart.

【真誠浴佛】一念真誠，護佑永恆！

5月4日在台灣浴佛法會中，現場湧進了五千人，天女灑花，人天歡喜，非常吉祥殊勝！
.
我在法會浴佛的時候，浴佛台上鮮花簇擁、九龍金盆中也灑滿花瓣，紫色的花瓣叢中，只見一朵明亮的黃色小花。第一勺淨水浴佛身，第二勺淨水浴我心…當最後一勺淨水要沐浴佛陀時，黃色小花也隨著水流，正好落在了太子佛的臂彎裡，好像要特別供養、妝點佛陀，非常的吉祥。
.
我們沐浴佛，其實也是在沐浴著我們自己。
浴佛時我們想著：「佛的清淨莊嚴，幫助我也遠離煩惱；佛的吉祥光明，使我也獲得健康；佛有無邊智慧，使我智慧通達，讓我們事業有成，子女也都能學業有成，健康、聰明、智慧、圓滿。」

在這個殊勝吉祥的日子裡，你還可以向佛「許願」，將心中的願望告訴佛，求佛指引、幫助。將來圓滿願望之後，千萬記住，還要回禪堂還願。
.
「還願」的方法很簡單：就是發心，心中對佛的一份「恭敬」就是發心。
.

【Bathe the Buddha with sincerity】 A Sincere thought Brings Eternal Blessings

The ‘Bathing the Buddha Blessing Ceremony’ on May 4th in Taiwan was attended by some 5,000 devotees. It was majestic as fairies scattered flower petals, celestial beings in heaven and sentient beings on earth joined in celebration! The atmosphere was extremely auspicious and dignified!

At the ‘Bathing the Buddha Blessing Ceremony’, fresh flowers donned the terrace with much offerings, and the nine golden dragon bowls were dithered with flower petals. In the midst of the purple petals, a bright yellow flower stands out radiantly. As I bathe the Buddha, the first ladle of clear water purifies the Buddha’s body, the second purifies our heart … as I raise the ladle for the third and last time, the yellow flower seemingly in tow with the flow of water, falls neatly in the arm of Prince Buddha, symbolizing exceptional devotion, and embellishing the Buddha – this is most auspicious.

When we bathe the Buddha, we are in reality purifying ourselves. As we bathe the Buddha, our thought should encompass, “Solemnly, with utmost purity and serenity, I seek the Buddha’s help to stay away from undue troubles; the Buddha’s auspicious illumination radiates me with good health; the Buddha’s perfect wisdom grants me boundless mental acuity, so that I enjoy a successful career, my children enjoy success in learning, and may we all be healthy, intelligent, wise and well-fulfilled.”

On this most auspicious day, you can also ‘make a wish’ to the Buddha; earnestly seek the Buddha’s help to fulfill your wish. Following, do remember to revisit the meditation center to convey your gratitude or ‘redeem a vow’ when your wish materializes.

「Redeeming a vow (wish)」is very simple. It is through sincere veneration to the Buddha – that is the mark of respect.

Lastly, I wish all who have the opportunity to participate in the Bathing the Buddha Blessing Ceremony:
To be reborn, enjoy a healthier, happier, wiser, with greater intelligence, as well as a more wholesome and fulfilling life as we ‘Bath the Buddha’ together.

虔誠供奉「唐卡」的利益故事。

記得以前在青海的時候，有一個喇嘛，管理了一個有很多佛像跟唐卡的倉庫。喇嘛經常會將佛像和唐卡拿出來通風，曬一曬。
.
喇嘛他一個人在裡頭也不寂寞，和這麼多佛在一起生活，他就感覺每幅畫作中的佛都是活的。
.
吃飯時：「哎呀佛啊，您餓不餓啊，您先吃吧！」他盛碗飯，放在那兒，過一會自己再吃。
.
想喝茶了，也給佛倒一杯：「您先喝，我再喝。」
.
有一天，他感覺到佛走過來了，走過來給他灌頂，因為西藏講究灌頂，有加能量、開智慧和增功的意思。喇嘛想：這是真的假的？再看呢，佛像就沖他笑，他感覺這些佛像簡直活了。
.
其實喇嘛每天在看管、伺候這些佛像的時候，他沒有把祂當成雕像，而是真實的，他對祂們好，他做事的時候就能得到相當大的能量，各式各樣的、法力、慈悲、能量的佛像，他都感覺是真的，時間長了就弄假成真了，他的功夫也就達到很高的層次。

還有一位，中國山東的女同修和我說了她的經歷。
.
2006年，她迎請回一幅「釋迦牟尼佛唐卡」以後，她看到唐卡就會莫名地高興、就想禮拜，每天早上在唐卡佛像前供花、供水、供燈。迎請回唐卡沒過幾個月，她家的生意就變好了。
.
在西藏，人們為了請一幅唐卡來供奉，可以傾其所有。
實際上，一幅唐卡被賦予的意義，已經遠遠超過了我們對祂的理解，因為佛是慈悲、光明、智慧的化身，是最尊貴的。因此唐卡也具備了善良、慈悲的吉祥信息和能量，更具有強大的加持力，其價值本身珍稀無比。

經過特殊加持的「釋迦牟尼佛唐卡」，可以淨化氣場環境，增加吉祥的能量場，幫助我們得到佛菩薩的慈悲加持和護佑，擁有更美好的人生。

Stories about the Benefits of Sincere Thangka Worship

I recall that in Qinghai, there was a Lama who managed a warehouse with many Buddha statues and Thangkas. The Lama would often brings the Buddha statues and Thangka out to air and sun.

The Lama did not feel lonely doing his tasks alone. In fact, he felt that he was living in the midst of so many Buddhas, and that every artifact was very much alive.

At meal time, he would said, “Dear Buddha, are you hungry? You shall eat first!” He would serve a bowl of rice and place it before the Buddhas, and would eat his meal later.

When he wanted tea, he would first pour a cup to offer to the Buddhas, “Dear Buddha, you shall drink first; I’ll drink after you.”

One day, he felt the Buddha came over to bless him. Tibetans revere such blessings, as they have the significance of energy enhancement, gaining wisdom and overall improvement in spiritual development. The lama thought to himself, “Now, is this for real?” He glanced around, and saw the Buddha statue smiling at him. At that instant, he felt that the Buddha statues were literally alive.

In fact, this Lama who maintains and serves the Buddha statues every day does not regard the statues as mere objects but as real Buddhas and treats them well. With such kind intentions, he can derive considerable energy of many forms from the Buddhas, including their powers, compassion, and energy when he works. Over time, it transcends beyond, and into reality. Naturally, his spiritual development and capabilities advance and he attains advanced levels in his cultivation.

There was also a female Bodhi practitioner in Shandong, China, whose experience I would like to share.

In 2006, she welcomed a ‘Sakyamuni Buddha Thangka’ to her home. Whenever she saw the Thangka, she would be inexplicably joyous and would worship it every time. Every morning, she would offer flowers, water and light before the Buddha Thangka. In the following few months, her family business gradually improved.

In Tibet, worshipers can give everything in exchange for a Thangka to worship. In fact, the significance of a Thangka far exceeds our comprehension, for the Buddha is the embodiment of ultimate compassion, supreme light, and immeasurable wisdom. It is the most noble.
Therefore, the Thangka encompasses the kind, compassionate and auspicious elements and energy, and ushers formidable blessings that transcends its immeasurable physical value.

The specially blessed ‘Sakyamuni Buddha Thangka’ can purify our spiritual environment, increase auspicious energy, usher the compassionate blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas as well as their protection. Overall, it helps instill a better living.

On the eve of ‘Bathing the Buddha’ festival, I welcome everyone to visit our global Bodhi Meditation Centers to bring a ‘Sakyamuni Buddha Thangka’ home to venerate.

May everyone be blessed with much auspiciousness and prosperity, and receive the Buddha’s powerful energy and immeasurable blessings!

【幸福520】多倫多_浴佛嘉年華會 . …

【幸福520】多倫多_浴佛嘉年華會

在這個維多利亞週末，超過2000多人，在多倫多菩提禪修中心參與了浴佛嘉年華會！
.
這天，我也趕巧的參與了整個熱鬧非凡的浴佛慶典，非常開心。菩提同修手腳非常利索，快剪出來了活動專輯，我也分享這個特別的慶典、歡樂的氛圍給大家一起同樂。
.
活動中，近70個來自多倫多各行各業的展攤參與，有中國書畫、書法、油畫、和中國古法染布等傳統藝術和教學。轉個彎，就看見豔彩華服的眾多仙女們在為大家表演，個個氣質翩然，多才多藝，宛如八仙過海各顯神通，使整個嘉年華會更熱鬧有趣。
.
還有各國美食小吃煎餅果子、雞蛋仔、壽司、春捲、糯米糕、各類點心、果汁、奶茶，還有風靡多倫多的乳酪蛋糕。讓大家在輕鬆愉快的氛圍中與佛歡樂結善緣，共同沐浴佛身，滌淨身心。

【Happiness 520】 Toronto – Bathing the Buddha Carnival

On this Victorian weekend, more than 2,000 people participated in the Bathing the Buddha Carnival at the Bodhi Meditation Center in Toronto!

I was very happy to participate in the entire Bathing the Buddha Celebration. Our fellow Bodhi practitioners are very efficient, and quickly created an activity album. I also glad to be able to share this celebratory day with our fellow practitioners. It is indeed a joyful event atmosphere for all to enjoy together.

During the event, nearly 70 exhibition booths from all walks of life in Toronto were set up. They featured traditional arts activities such as Chinese paintings, calligraphy, oil paintings, and ancient Chinese technique of dyeing cloths.

Turning around the corner, we saw practitioners dressed as fairies in colorful costumes showcasing a dazzling performance for everyone. All performers were impressive and showcased their talented skills. They were similar to the the Eight Immortals who crossed the sea and displayed their supernatural powers, making the entire carnival more lively and interesting.

Our practitioners also made their national snacks such as pancakes, egg noodles, sushi, spring rolls, glutinous rice cakes, various kinds of dim-sums, fruit juices, milk teas, and cheese cakes popular in Toronto. Hoped that everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable time and connected with the Buddha during this festival. Bathing the Buddha helps to cleanse our mind and soul.

Showering the Buddha with purified water symbolizes purification of our body and mind.

The true meaning behind the ritual of bathing the Buddha is to cleanse our body and mind, to be free from calamities, be blessed with good fortune and attain special merits.
May the light of compassion illuminate the entire world and nourish all sentient beings on this day.

When bathing the Buddha, with our sincerity, visualize~
Showering all Buddha –Tathagatas , purified enlightened beings with wisdom, honor and merits as vast as the ocean, please bless all sentient beings to be free from sufferings and to receive purified dharma body, just like a Bodhisattva.
