【壹月】一次微笑一條路，一句讚美能開山

想要擁有幸福快樂的生活，就要不吝惜讚美。

少一份責備，多一份讚美，就有好日子過了。人都喜歡聽好話，透過讚美達到激勵的效果，這是非常高明的手段。多給他人一點讚美，不僅對方快樂，你自己也會快樂。可能因為我們的一句讚美，一個孩子就能成就非凡精彩的一生。
.
用微笑去征服世界。將微笑送給他人，原諒別人的過錯、原諒別人帶給我的煩惱，因為我們可能也帶給他煩惱了；原諒我們的仇人，一切結的仇都是因為無知無明。
.
今天的我最慈悲、最寬容，像大海一樣能夠接納一切。經常保持微笑和平靜，以一個好的心態來把握現在，創造未來。
.
讚美、微笑，我們既是付出者，也是受益者，為別人帶來幸福美好的生活，也將為自己創造幸福美好的未來。

[January] A smile will open doors, a praise will level mountains
If we want our lives to be filled with happiness and joy, we ought to be generous with our praises.

A good life is possible when there are more praises and less criticisms. Everybody likes to be praised. The ability to motivate people through praises is a very powerful skill. Praises not only make the recipient happy, they make us feel good as well. A word of praise may inspire a child to create a remarkable future for himself or herself.

Let us conquer the world with our smiles. As we smile at others, let us forgive them for the wrongs that they did to us, and for the troubles that they brought us. We need to understand that we might have caused them troubles too. Let us learn to forgive our enemies, as the reason that they hurt us is due to ignorance.

Today, I am the most compassionate and the most tolerant; like the ocean, I can embrace everything. As I aspire to keep a smile on my face and peace in my heart, I will live in the present and create the future with a positive mindset.

As we give out smiles and praises, we will receive benefits as well. Even as we bring forth happiness and joy in other people’s lives, we will be creating happiness and joy in our own futures.

熊回答：「才不嫁呢，嫁给你只會生狗熊，我要嫁给猫，生了熊猫才尊貴呢！」願大家笑一笑沒煩惱。

As New Year approaches, doggy braced himself and proposed to lady bear:
[Will you marry me? I will make you happy.] Lady bear replied: [ No. I will not marry you. If I marry you, I will give birth to a bear (combination of Chinese character Dog and bear). I want to marry a cat. Then I will give birth to a panda (combination of Chinese character bear and cat) which is more prestigious. ]May all enjoy a good laugh and forget all your troubles.

May all become a better person than you were before.
May lotus flower bloom, luck and auspiciousness be with you as you cross into the New Year.

是什麼方法，讓健康變簡單了？

問：「在生命的加減法中，有沒有一種實實在在的方法，能夠使我們的疾病、痛苦越來越少，而健康、快樂的能量越來越多呢？」
.
答案是：「有的」。
在韓國禪堂，有一位女弟子，她患有嚴重的風濕性關節炎，發作時會疼痛到哭。一直治不好，在一個機緣下遇上菩提禪修。第一次見面，就碰上我們韓國最嚴格的老師，女弟子問：「怎麼修才可以讓我快一點不再痛苦？」

老師：「磕頭，做大禮拜，一天磕八個鐘頭。」這誰受得了啊？！可是她就接受了。

「精誠所至，金石為開。」她磕了半年，風濕性關節炎竟然真的好了。原來已經變形，不能抓東西的手，現在竟能幹活了，縫衣服都可以了。我去韓國時，還給我做韓國飯。 她告訴我：「我現在有了健康，快樂也更多了。」
.
所以，通過「禪修」通常會帶給人們健康。
那麼「禪修」是如何使我們的身體獲得健康，快樂的？
.

How can we attain good health easily?
.
Question: [In life’s formulas, is there any effective method to alleviate our illnesses, pain and sufferings while increasing our energy for good health and happiness?] .
Answer: [Yes] .
There was a female disciple from Korea Bodhi Meditation Center who suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis. The pain was so bad that she would lose control and teared whenever the pain acted up. She tried all means to cure her illness but to no avail. On one rare occasion, she came to know about Bodhi Meditation. During her first visit to Bodhi, she met a teacher in Korea Bodhi Meditation Center who had a reputation of being strict. The female disciple asked: [What can I do to alleviate my body discomfort and pain?] .
Teacher: [Kow-tow, practice prostration eight hours each day.] This was not an easy task. However she abided by the teacher’s instruction and did as she was told.
.
As the Chinese saying goes: [Absolute sincerity can move even metals.] After half a year of prostration practice, she recovered completely. Previously she had problems holding things with her hands, now she can perform a lot of tasks, including sewing. When I was at Korea, she even prepared a Korean meal for me. She told me:[ I am very healthy and happy now.] .
At times, it is very hard to predict the benefits of meditation. However, generally one’s health will improve after meditation.

傳家之寶 . . 問：「請問世界上什麼功…

傳家之寶

問：「請問世界上什麼功德最大？」
禪師答：「一滴水」。

問：「虛空可包天地萬物,那麼什麼可包虛空呢？」
禪師答：「一滴水」。。。
.
傳說，在「儀山」有一位頗有修為的老禪師，一天晚上，老禪師在洗澡的時候因為水太燙，就喚小弟子提桶冷水來加，小弟子將熱水和涼後，順手把餘下的冷水給倒掉了。
.
　　老禪師敲了下小弟子的頭說道：「你怎麼如此浪費，世界上任何事物都有它的用處啊。就是一滴水，也有它很大的價值。試想在一片乾涸的地上有一株小苗，它就快要渴死了，你若將一滴水賜予這株小苗，不但救活了他的生命，還可能因此開出一片森林呢，雖然是一滴水，但是價值無限的大。
.
　　小弟子聽後非常慚愧，若有所悟，於是將自己的法名取為「滴水」，這就是後來非常受人尊重的「滴水和尚」。
.　　
人在世間有多少福報，這是有數量的。所謂：「道德傳家十代以上；富貴傳家不過三代。」一個人的一生，該擁有多少金錢、多少福壽、多少享用，都是有數的，就好比你在銀行存款，浪費過多的開支，最後都有使用完的時候。
.
而富貴之人，本是過去生中積攢一定的「福德」，才會有今日的富足。要想傳家久遠，就必須修積德行。所以我們要節用惜福，雖是滴水，也不廢棄，滴水雖微，匯集後的能量卻是非常強大的。

祝福大家都能「以德傳家」，以守世世代代的福澤，富貴又吉祥！

The Inheritance
.
Question: “What has the greatest merit in this world?”
Reply of the Zen master: “A drop of water.”
Question: “Emptiness encompasses everything in the universe. What can hold the emptiness in return?”
Reply of the Zen master: “A drop of water.”
.
According to legend, an accomplished Zen Master lived on the Mountain of Yi. One night, the Zen Master was about to take a bath and found the bath water to be scalding hot. Hence, he called out to his little disciple to bring in a pail of cold water to mix into the bath water so as to bring the temperature down. When he has finished his task, the little disciple proceeded to discard the remaining cold water.
.
The Zen Master gave the disciple a knock on the head: “How can you be so wasteful? Everything in this world has its purpose and value, even a single drop of water. If the drop of water is given to a little sapling that is withering on parched land, the life of the sapling will be saved. That may also be the beginning of the formation of a forest. It may have been just one drop of water, but its value is infinite.”
.
The little disciple was ashamed after hearing this. This was a valuable lesson to him and from then on, he took on the Dharma name “Water Drop”. This little disciple later grew up to be the renowned and well-respected monk known as the “Water Drop Monk”.
.
The amount of blessings and good fortune that a person enjoys on Earth is actually limited. As the saying goes: “An inheritance of morality will last for more than ten generations; An inheritance of wealth will not last beyond three.” The amount of possessions, wealth, good fortune and longevity that a person has in his or her lifetime is limited. It is analogous to the savings in your bank account – if you keep spending more than what you are earning, eventually all your savings will run out.
.
Rich and prosperous people are where they are today because of the karmic merits accumulated in previous lives. For that to last through generations, it is important to cultivate morality and accumulate merits. Be thankful for what we have, be prudent with our resources, and do not waste even a drop of water. A drop of water may seem insignificant, but the collective energy of millions of them is very substantial.

I give my blessings to all of you, and hope that you can pass on an inheritance of morality to your descendants, so that they will be blessed with good fortune, prosperity and wealth, generation after generation!

好人緣是有方法的，婆媳問題也有解藥！

一個女同修的真實故事，她和公婆長達17年不相往來，在禪修之後，竟然莫名和公公婆婆和好了，成為街坊鄰里間的一段美談。
.
她說：「最早，我和公婆住在一起，但是因為婆婆太霸道、太自私，不管我做什麼，婆婆都要求我必須聽從她，否則就大發雷霆，也不讓我和鄰居來往。我無法接受這樣的生活，更不想每天和婆婆為家庭瑣事吵架。婆婆還經常趕我走、不走就把我的東西往門外扔。我在走投無路之下就搬回娘家住了，這一住就是17年。」
.
在她還沒禪修之前，她覺得婆婆太狠毒了，自己受到的傷害太深，每當提到婆婆兩字，就覺得身體發冷、發抖，即使在大熱天也是這樣。17年過去了，她和孩子再也沒去過婆家一次，不敢提、更不敢去看她。
.
可後來參加了菩提禪修之後，她開始懂得了「慈悲、善良」，心胸變開闊了、也學會了寬容，不再記恨老人家了。她上婆婆家，去向公公婆婆懺悔道歉，婆媳間17年的積怨終於化解開了，村裡的鄰里鄉親也都感動不已。
.
人際關係不良的原因，很多都是由「不自信和不信任」所引起的，導致心理上產生焦慮，甚至恐慌等，各種傷害對方，或攻擊對方的行為。如果內心變得光明，自信充足，自然也就沒有恐懼了。
.
那麼，到底該如何克服，每個人心中的那塊黑色地帶，使自己的心性光明起來，從而改善人際關係呢？
.

A true story of a female practitioner, she and her in-laws were not in contact for 17 years. After she started meditation, she miraculously mended her relationship with them and this became a much-talked-about topic among neighbors.
.
She said, “I stayed with my in-laws initially, but my mother-in-law was over bearing and too selfish. She wanted me to listen to her. If I don’t, she would act up and refuse to let me interact with my neighbors. I can’t accept this kind of life and I don’t want to quarrel with her on family trivial every day. There were times that she threw my things out of the house and wanted me to go. I couldn’t stand it anymore so I moved back to live with my mother and 17 years passed.
.
Before she started meditation, she felt that her mother-law was too vicious and hurt her deeply. Whenever someone mentioned her mother-in-law, she would have cold shivers, even on a hot day. She and her children did not visit her in-laws for 17 years.
.
However, through meditation, she began to understand “compassion and kindness”. Her heart opens up and she becomes more tolerant and forgiving. She went to her in-laws’ house to apologize and seek forgiveness. 17 years of accumulated resentment finally resolved and neighbors were happy for them too.
.
A lack of self-confidence and trust causes poor human relationship and psychological anxiety. Such fear and panic may lead to reactive harmful actions. If the inner heart is bright and fills with confidence, there will be no fear.
.
So how do we overcome that dark spot so that we can shine brightly and improve our relationship with others?
.

他(富通)，從小有習慣性脖子痙攣_俗稱肌筋膜疼痛症候群 myofascial pain syndrome，下方備註已解說。)根據台灣健保局資料統計，關節肌肉軟組織疼痛門診的就診人數，肩頸部酸痛的盛行率，為所有科別門診數的55%，而且這個比率隨著現代人工作，及生活型態越來越緊張，正在逐漸升高。
.
「肌筋膜疼痛症候群」幾乎可說是現代的文明通病了，其實這樣的文明病，可以透過簡單又快速的方法去緩解，那麼究竟是透過什麼方法呢？
