Interesting news from the making of Lion King

The film Lion King went through many twists and turns before it became successful. All thanks to the persistence and dedication of those who loved it!

The video caption:
.
The Lion King was doomed to fail

The original director hated the songs so much, he refused to have anything to do with Lion King. Leaving it in the hands of two young, novice directors.

The Disney team found itself in hot water when employees started jumping ship to work on Pocahontas… Disney’s supposed next big hit. Leaving behind a handful of rookie animators to work on the Lion King.

But although they were inexperienced, they were dedicated to the project. They journeyed all the way to East Africa… Where they learned the Swahili term “Hakuna Matata.” Inspired, the team left with their heads full of song, and a newfound respect for many different African cultures.

But just as the movie was beginning to take shape, disaster struck… An earthquake devasted the area surrounding the studio, wiping out roads, and making it impossible to reach. But the crew banded together, meeting in their own homes to work on the project.

This was Disney’s first original story, and they were going to make sure it was told. They drew character inspiration from Scar voice actor, Jeremy Irons, and Jonathan Taylor Thomas who voice Simba. Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella initially auditioned for the hyenas, but after seeing their special chemistry, They were cast as Timon and Pumba instead. The team had finally put together a trailer for the film.

But moments before the release, they scrapped it, in favor of a song that made them feel as though they were back in East Africa, they released the scene featuring “Circle of Life” instead.
And audiences loved it as much as the team did.

The Lion King released to critical acclaim, becoming the highest grossing film of 1994.

And inspiring both a hit Broadway play, and a 2019 remake.
The movie caused such an impact, that one biologist sued Disney for defaming hyenas!

But overall, the message of conservation has been a powerful one, cultivating an interest in protecting creatures most of us have never seen.

For those of us who can’t get enough of the story, music, and characters, The Lion King will be released on July 19, 2019, on the 25th anniversary of the original film.

Improve the ability to express ourselves — self-Introduction.

I emphasized on the importance of self-expression in 「I Create My Own Future」. The most common way of self-expression is through our self introduction. So, how can we improve our ability to express ourselves?

Let me briefly share with you a technique that takes only one minute to get yourself prepared:
Ask yourself these four questions:
1. What is my name? How do I want others to address me?
2. Why am I here? Because of someone? Or due to other reasons?
3. What resources can I provide to help others?
4. How can others help me?

When you have answered these four questions, you would have done an excellent job of introducing yourself.

This self-introduction technique works all the time and is an important first step to improve your self-expression ability.
Another tip is that you may practice before a mirror.

May you successfully improve your self-expression ability!

[Energy Bagua Q&A] Basic Questions

The world’s first Energy Bagua Wellness Center officially opened in Vancouver. The practice of Energy Bagua is very effective in helping the practitioners gain good health, longevity and happiness. Here, I have prepared the answers to many common questions that students may face when learning Energy Bagua.
You are also welcome to ask questions…

Q1. Why do we walk around a tree when practicing Energy Bagua?
First, by walking around a tree we are actually walking in a circle. Second, tree is a living form; we love nature and the tree itself and the tree represents nature.
Trees are one of the most common and authentic life presents in nature, and through trees we can communicate with the whole nature. So the guiding phrase in Energy Bagua is “I am the tree, the tree is me. I am one with nature.”
We circle around the tree because our hearts are filled with gratitude, love and compassion towards nature. We come from nature and we love this world.

Q2. What is my state of mind while practicing Energy Bagua?
“Energy Bagua” is derived from an ancient Chinese practice. During the practice, your actions, recitations and mind should remain in a very relaxed, comfortable, kind and peaceful state.
A well-practiced disciple will be very focused, undistracted and feel one with the mountains and rivers – “I am the breeze, I am the sun, I am the dew, I am the grass, I am the air, I am everywhere.” A state where one is return to nature.
As you reach state of emptiness in which there is no sense of self, you have entered a meditative state bereft of thoughts, consciousness and understanding. No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind; no forms, sounds, smells, tastes, touches or objects of Dharma.
The closing exercises are also particularly important and should be practiced with a sense of compassion and warmth in your heart. As you rub your hands together, your hands are soft; as you run your hands over your face, keep your touch light so as to get better results.
The right method is: the hands do not touch the skin. In the process, you should have good thoughts, such as visualizing that your eyes, skin and hair are as they were when you were 7 years old…

Q3. What does it mean to “allow energy flowing from the top of your head to your toes”?

To understand this, we need first talk about how we allow “Qi” to settle down in the lower abdomen.
“Qi” refers to a sense of integrated energy, like fog, clouds, or breathing gas in our hazy consciousness. When this energy settles to our “dantian”, the position of the lower abdomen, we can sense its form before it continues to move inside the body and up to the top.
So which parts of the body does this energy pass through? If we use the analogy of a bucket to represent the body and the water to represent the energy, think of the water rising to the top and then continuing beyond to about three feet above the head. The water will not rise beyond this point as there is an invisible barrier blocking its path.
You don’t need to use a ruler, because it doesn’t have a fixed length, it’s an energy you think of.
What about the flow of energy through to your toes? Again, think of the body as a bucket and water as the energy.
What about the flow of the energy through the feet? Again, think of the body as a bucket and water as the energy. The water will go through the body to the legs and continuing to flow to a point about three feet underground. As it flows, it clears the blockages in your body. How will you know whether your visualizing is working? You will know when your health has benefit from the practice.

You don't need to use a ruler, because it doesn't have a fixed length, it's an energy you think of.
You will know when your health has benefit from the practice.

.
