今天是藥師佛聖誕，在這個吉祥喜慶的日子。
於佛前，禮佛、祈願是最靈驗的。

表達自己的恭敬心，不在於窮富，只要有誠敬供養之心，哪怕一朵小花、一杯清水、一份真心，佛同樣能收到。

「獨釣寒江雪，只因愛孤獨」就這樣映入眼眸。
恍惚之間，看到白雪皚皚的寂靜世界，望眼所見，白雪紛飛，卻有一抹獨立的身影在庭院迴廊深雪之中掃雪。

「為何一人在此？」
對方也不看我，自顧自地掃雪。
得不到回應，只能繼續詢問：「此地寂寥，獨自一人不會太悲傷了嗎？」
對方抬頭看我一眼：「若快樂來自外在，失去之際則悲。心有所託，則不以外物而喜而悲。你的寂寥，來自自己的寂寞。」
「如何能解？」
「五色令人目盲，五音令人耳聾。世上繁華皆為虛妄，唯有心靈平靜，才能體會孤獨的滿足。」

回過神來，依然還在桌前，面對滿室的寂寥。
人，獨自來到世上，也一個人離開這個世界，不得不承認，面對孤獨的時間比想像中長。但有時候，短暫的孤寂，也是一段休養生息的好時光。

不用躲至深山老林，每天只要花一點時間，與自己溝通、與佛對話，對心靈層次的提升也是很有助益的。

中國古代有一部人倫孝道經典《二十四孝》，其中記載了一篇＜老萊斑衣＞的故事。春秋時的賢士老萊子非常孝順，總是千方百計哄父母開心，由於他的精心孝養，父母都很長壽。老萊子70歲的時候，頭髮全白了，父母嘆氣說：「兒子的頭髮都白了，我們在世的日子也不會長了。」他聽後為了不讓父母憂慮，就換上五彩斑斕的戲服，手舞足蹈，表現出年輕有活力的樣子，老父母又開心起來。一天他不小心摔倒了，怕父母擔心，馬上像小嬰兒一樣坐在地上啼哭撒嬌，父母以為他故意摔倒逗趣，都拍手笑了。

我們在孝順父母的時候，也不妨耍點「小花招」，比如跟父母撒個嬌，擁抱一下，趁不注意，在他臉上親一口，父母心裡准樂開了花。平時多回家陪陪他們，哪怕讓爸媽給你做頓飯，他們都非常樂意！再給他們講講工作上或社會上的趣事，又能解悶，又開闊眼界。這種感覺，想想就很溫暖。

錢總是掙不完，工作也做不完，而陪父母的時間，算一算，也許真的很有限。可以的話，多花些時間陪陪父母、孝養父母，也許你的人生就會少一些遺憾，換來更多歡樂。

我們只有一雙手，想抓住的太多、能抓住的太少；
只有放下小我、才能去實現大我。

放下是「捨」的最高境界，放下那些游離於本我之外的東西，才能轉而向內探求自己真正需要什麼。如果放不下名利地位的追求，你就不能瀟灑地追求超然物外的生命高度；如果放不下自我獲得的執著，你就不能肩負起更大的社會承擔。

一個人有錢是福報，善用錢財才是智慧。如果將這份福報布施出去、利益眾生，就等於把福報放大了若干倍，反饋回來的將會是收穫更大的福報。

【September】 Let go of the old before picking up the new; give before you receive
All of us have only a pair of hands. We have immeasurable desires that we wish to grab hold of, but can only hold on to so little. Only by letting go will we be able to discover our magnanimous and big-hearted self
Letting go is the highest state of generosity. Only by letting go of things that are extrinsic to the self can we look within our selves to find out what you really need. If you are unable to let go of the pursuit of fame and fortune, you can’t pursue the height of life beyond the detachment; if you can’t let go of the desire of wanting, you are unable to shoulder a larger commitment and responsibility towards the society.
A person who is wealthy has a blessed life. Being able to make good use of the money is wisdom. If you share this blessing with others and benefit all sentient beings, it will amplify your blessing by several times. The blessings that you receive in return will be a larger than what you originally gave.

大家熟悉的《西遊記》講的是三個徒弟護送唐玄奘西天取經的故事，然而當我們還原那段歷史，發現卻是另一番真相。在漫漫的萬里征途上，沒有人陪伴保護，只有他自己一個人，踽踽獨行。一路上，繞過官兵堵截、翻越萬丈雪山、埋身無人沙海，充滿了各種艱難險阻和驚心動魄。

每一道難關，都足以動搖信心，每一次劫難，都可能性命不保，他靠的就是「堅持」與「寧可西行一步死，決不回頭半步生」的執著，最終才抵達夢想中的佛國殿堂。

取經之路正如修行之路，可能會遇到各種超乎想像的困難，當你發起願心的時候，考驗就降臨到了你身上，肉體上的苦，也許能咬牙挺過去，精神上的苦呢？親人的誤解、旁人的譏笑、甚至修行中的停滯不前，煎熬得你看不到希望。但只要你不顧一切地繼續走下去，目標離你就越來越近了。因為目標就在那裡，只要向前走一步、就離成功近一步。世界上沒有失敗，只有「放棄」才是真正的失敗。

不怕萬千阻擋，只怕自己投降。不論是修行覺悟，還是追求人生的夢想，從來沒有簡單、容易的路，就是要以最大的耐心與決心，將生命與這條路合二為一。唯一能幫你成功的，是你對成功的渴望。我們生而為人，肉體終將湮滅，而你不朽的精神、不敗的意志、對社會的貢獻，將永遠留存在天地間，那正是我們的目標。

【August】No matter how far the distance, persistence will bring you to the destination.
In the famous Chinese epic “The Journey To The West” where the story narrated the three disciples accompanying their master Tang Xuanzang in search of the holy script, we often missed a vital truth in this story. In a seemingly no-ending journey, Tang is often left unprotected and alone in the journey. Along the arduous journey, Tang had to bypass obstruction by the soldiers, overcome mountainous peaks and be lost in the sea of desert.
Each and every of the obstacle was capable of shaking his confidence. Every time he escaped, it almost took his life. What he relied on was his determination and his mantra of “Rather move a step towards west than to be alive half step behind” that propelled hike to his destination.
The Journey To the West is similar to our journey in Bodhi Meditation, where we can expect challenges beyond our imagination. The moment we make a vow in our journey, the test starts. While we can bear with physical pain, what about mental challenges? Misunderstanding by family members, ridicules by observers, lack of progress despite hard work, and at times, the sense of hopelessness. However, it is clear that as long as we persevere, we will get closer to our destination. The only failure in life is when we give up.
The greatest fear is not the journey but us, giving up. There is never a simple and clear road in the journey towards enlightenment and towards our life-long dreams. The only way to do it is with the greatest determination and patience, and to cement our lives with this journey as one. The winning ingredient is our thirst to achieve it. We may never live forever and our body will perish. But it is our immortal and unrelenting spirit, our contribution to our society that will live the day. This should be our ultimate goal.
