老婆臉拉長了，硬說馬可以走「田」字，因為是千里馬。我忍了。

最過分的是炮可以不用隔棋或者隔兩個以上都可以打。因為是高射炮。我還是忍了。
忍無可忍的是車可以拐彎，還振振有詞說哪有車不能拐彎的嗎？這我全部忍了，繼續艱難鎖定勝局……
但最後，她竟然用我的士，乾掉了我的將。說這是潛伏了多年的間諜，特意派來做臥底的。
最後，她贏了……於是，她愉快的去洗衣服做飯了。

A self-narration by a model husband……
「Played Chinese chess with my wife yesterday, after five moves, I had victory in sight.
My wife started to give a disapproving look, and insisted that her “Horse” can move beyond the confines of the original rules, simply because she had an exceptional steed. I put up with it.
After that, she claimed that her Soldiers could retreat, as they were special forces. I put up with it.
…… Then, she insisted that I let her “Elephants” cross the river, as they were flying elephants. I also put up with it.
Most ludicrous was the claim that her “Cannons” were exempted from having to jump over another chest piece to capture my chest piece, but instead, can jump through many pieces to conquer my chess piece as hers were long-range cannons. Still, I put up with it.
What was intolerable was that her “Chariots” could turn at will (instead of only moving in straight lines); the argument was that it is a characteristic of all cars – which car cannot turn at will? I endured these, and struggled against her errant moves to try to seal the game……
Yet in the end, she used my “Minister” to subdue my “General”, citing that the “Minister” was a spy of many years that she had summoned to infiltrate into my court to carry out the mission.
She won eventually…… before delightfully going to do the laundry and prepare dinner.
Conclusion:
① Fair reasoning may not always exist at home.
② Harmony breeds success at home, and creates mutually beneficial outcomes
③ It is crucial to learn to control our emotions
④ Effective communications is the cornerstone of happiness
⑤ Men who insist on reasoning with the wives have ‘serious’ intelligence issues
⑥ Rules may be cast in stone, but as humans, we are living things (and thus should be flexible!)
