如何感恩,學會了就去做吧!

有個女孩(玲玲)跟媽媽大吵了一架,氣得奪門而出,決定再也不回到這個討厭的家了!她在外頭閒晃一整天,肚子餓得咕嚕咕嚕叫,但因為跟母親大吵一架,忘了帶錢在身上,可又拉不下臉回家吃飯,只好忍著飢餓一直到了晚上。玲玲不知不覺地來到一家麵攤,她聞到了陣陣的香氣,真是好想吃一碗,但身上又沒錢,只能不住的吞口水。

老闆看見女孩不斷向店裡張望,親切地問:「小姑娘啊,妳要不要吃一碗麵啊?」
.
女孩不好意思的回答:「嗯!可是,我跟母親吵架逃家,所以身上並沒有帶錢……」
.
老闆聽了大笑:「沒關係,今天就算老闆請客吧!」
.
玲玲簡直不敢相信自己的耳朵,她馬上坐下來。不一會兒,麵端來了,她吃得津津有味,並說:「老闆,你人真好!不然我今晚還真不知道怎麼辦」
.
老闆又笑了:「小妹妹呀,我只不過幫妳煮了一碗麵,妳就這麼感激我,那麼你媽媽幫你煮了二十幾年的飯,你不是更應該感激她嗎?讓她念幾句有什麼關係呢」
.
玲玲聽完頓時有如大夢初醒!顧不得還剩下的半碗麵,立刻飛奔回家。才到家門前的巷口,就遠遠的瞧見母親正焦急的在家門口四處張望!
.
玲玲很想跟母親說對不起,還沒來得及開口,媽媽一把抱住女兒說:「唉呦,妳跑去那裡兒啦?我找了妳一整天,妳一定餓壞了吧,來,快進來把手洗一洗,媽媽等著妳一塊兒吃晚飯呢。”

這天,玲玲才深深體會到母親對她的愛,就像太陽一樣一直都那麼光亮,如此溫暖啊。

學會感恩吧!
學習,用感恩的心面對生命。感恩挫折磨練了你的意志;感恩那些欺騙你的人,因為他豐富了你的經驗;感激那些輕視你的人,因為他覺醒了你的自尊,感激一切淬煉妳人生的善、惡因緣。感恩生活,賜予你的燦爛陽光。

Ling Ling quarreled with her mother and left her house in anger. She decided not to go back to her detestable home anymore! As she loitered outside for one full day without food, her stomach growled in hunger. She had forgotten to bring money with her after she quarreled with her mother. Yet she refused to back down and return home for a meal. Ling Ling put up with her hunger till late evening.
.
Unknowingly, Ling Ling walked to a shop selling noodles. Smelling the aroma from the noodle shop, she yearned for a bowl of noodles. However as she had no money with her, she could only swallow her saliva.
.
The boss of the shop saw Ling Ling’s glances towards his shop and asked: “Young lady, would you like to come in for a bowl of noodles?”
.
Ling Ling replied with embarrassment: “Yes but I left my house after quarreling with my mother and forgot to bring money with me…”
.
When the boss heard her reply, he laughed: “It’s all right, let me give you a treat today!”
.
Ling Ling could not believe her ears. She sat down immediately. A short while later, the boss served her a bowl of noodles and she began to eat with relish. She told the boss: “You are such a nice person! If not for your generosity, I have no idea what I can do tonight”.
.
The boss smilingly replied: “Young lady, I only cook a bowl of noodles for you and you are already so grateful. Your mother has been cooking for you for the last 20 years, shouldn’t you be more appreciative and grateful to her? What harm can her nagging do?”
.
As she listened to the boss, she felt as if she had just woken up from a dream! She left half of her noodles unfinished and ran home immediately. When she reached the alley in front of her house, she could see from afar that her mother looking around anxiously!
.
Ling Ling wanted to apologize to her mother but before she could say anything, her mother embraced her and asked: “Where did you go? I have been looking for you the whole day. You must be ravenous. Come in and wash your hands. Mum is waiting for you to have dinner together.”
.
Today Ling Ling could feel her mother’s love for her deeply. Her mother’s love was as brilliant as the sun, bringing her warmth.
.
Learn to be grateful!
.
Learn to live life with a grateful heart. Be thankful for life’s obstacles as they help to build up your perseverance; feel grateful to cheaters for they broaden your life experience; be grateful to people who looked down on you for they awaken your self-esteem, feel grateful for all the good and bad affinities that enter your life.
.
Be thankful to life for it bestows you with radiant sunshine.

有個溫哥華學員問我:「冬天天氣比較潮濕、寒冷,這種氣候適合在戶外走八卦嗎?」
.
答:「戶外也能走。」

我的個人修行經驗,八卦內功最好的方法是,一年四季都在戶外。
「夏練三暑,冬練三寒。」經過自然界四季溫度的淬煉,一整年每天都不間斷地練習,淬煉出毅力、粹煉出體力、淬煉出十八般好武藝,那麼能量增多、疾病就可能減少,才能健康長壽。

而淬鍊是什麼意思呢?
「淬煉」好比古代鑄劍,把鋼鐵在這個爐火裡頭燒得紅紅的,拿出來用鐵錘砸「打鐵、打鐵」嘛,它才會堅韌。砸完了再燒紅,之後再往那個冷水裡頭猛地放進去,通過這種忽熱、忽冷的方法,也叫「淬鋼」,它那個鋼化就出來了,它那個刀口就會非常鋒利。
.
那一般人說我很難堅持下來?我們若想能夠健康地生活和工作呢,那你就要付出一點體力。因為,無論一個方法有多好,你不練,那功夫永遠是功夫、你還是你。
.
所以,千萬記住啊,能夠撐得下來整一年的「夏練三暑,冬練三寒。」
就是三九天、大夏天,大寒天,都能夠堅持下來,人就會結實了。

如果,淬煉能讓我們更茁壯、更健康,那麼淬練便是值得的!

A Vancouver student asked me, “The winter weather is relatively humid and cold; is such a climate suitable for the outdoor practice of Energy Bagua?”

Answer: “One can still practice Energy Bagua outdoor.”
From my personal experience in cultivation, the best approach to practice Energy Bagua is to do so outdoors all-year round, across the four seasons.

As the saying goes, 「practice through the three heat spells in summer, and three cold spells in winter」. After the all-year, uninterrupted daily practices, the rigors from “quenching” over naturally varied temperature of the four seasons will help instill perseverance, foster physical strength, and result in mastery of martial art skills. The outcome is the corresponding increase in energy, kept diseases at bay and maintain health and longevity.
And what’s “quenching”?

“Quenching” is used in the ancient process of making swords. In it, iron and steel are heated in the furnace till red-hot, taken out and hit repeatedly with the hammer so as to temper (harden) it. Thereafter, it is re-heated to red-hot and abruptly plunged into cold water. This method of subjecting the metal to sudden-hot, and sudden-cold temperatures, is called “quenching”, and it tempers the metal, drawing out its utmost strength, and ensuring it will be a very sharp sword.

What if someone says it’s difficult to persevere in practice? Well, if we want to be able to live and work healthily, then you will have to summon some small amount of effort. This is because no matter how good a method is, if one does not practice, then he/ she will not gain from the kung fu (skills), and will not benefit or experience any improvement.

So please bear in mind, if one can conscientiously adhere to the saying, “practice through the three heat spells in summer, and three cold spells in the winter”, and persevere through the year, including the hot summer and cold winter days, one will be fit.

If “quenching” can make us stronger and healthier, then this “quenching” is a worthy form of practice!
