【元旦日出，善心人間】

有四個年輕人在凌晨開車前往大峽谷看日出的途中，車卻突然拋錨了，雖然已打給道路救援，但兩個小時後他們才會到現場，這次看日出行程想必是泡湯了。

這時，卻有一台坐了兩個大叔的箱型車停下來，詢問他們需要幫忙嗎？

當聽完狀況，駕駛大叔說：「這裡離看日出的地方開車只要半小時，趕一趕就能到，不然我們就載你們去吧！」
.
年輕人受寵若驚，雖然推託，但在副駕駛座上的大叔也勸說：「走吧，我們也想看今天的日出！看完再回來等道路救援就行啦！」
.
當大峽谷的第一道曙光緩緩升起，陽光灑滿用萬年堆砌出的壯麗，其中一個年輕人問兩位大叔：「為什麼，要幫助我們這些陌生人呢？」

「日行一善，陽光燦爛。」

大叔脖子上掛的藥師佛像，似乎將這一年都照得閃閃發亮。

【Benevolence under the New Year’s sunrise】
Four young people were driving to the Grand Canyon to watch the sunrise when their car had an abrupt breakdown early in the morning. It would take two hours for the roadside assistance to come to their aid. Without doubt, this trip to watch the first sunrise was ruined.
At that distressing moment, a van pulled over and two middle-aged guys asked if these young people need help.
After they heard the whole story, the driver said, “Your destination is just half an hour’s drive from here. You can make it if we quickly fetch you there.”
The young people were both amazed and grateful. Although declining the kind offer at first, they finally accepted the help with the driver’s persuasion “Let’s go! We feel like seeing today’s sunrise too. You can come back and wait for the roadside assistance after watching the sunrise.”
The first sunlight at Yavapai Point came out and shone throughout upon the splendid Grand Canyon as the sun rose gradually.
One young person asked the two guys “Why did you help some random strangers at the roadside like us?”
“I fulfilled the principle of ‘One kind deed a day makes every day a sunny day’, and the reward was the brilliance of the sunrise. Besides, I believe the true wealth depends on how much you can give and provide.”
The Medicine Buddha pendant on the middle-age guy’s neck seemed to shimmer under the sunshine.
