在一次馬來西亞念佛班課堂上,她鼓起了勇氣分享…

在兩歲的時候,我跌傷了右腿,右膝做了手術,因為當時治療不當,術後沒有及時矯正好,造成我的右腿比左腿短,變成長短腿。此後,我走路時無法掌握平衡,每當身體姿勢不當時,腰椎都會疼痛,所以,我不能跪立。這個問題讓我痛苦了好多年,我覺得這可能是自己的業力太重所致。

在這個念佛班中,為了消除我的業力,我嘗試著跪立念佛。六十多年來,我從來沒有試過跪立,但是這次就算身體疼痛,我也要這樣做。我想如果我在念佛中能忍受得了疼痛,可能業力也會被消除吧!於是,我就在念佛時把墊子墊高,望向藥師佛,然後真誠地跪立念佛。

在一整天將近七個小時的念佛中,我竟然跪立著念佛有3個小時之久,我感到很驚訝。一開始跪立時,我的膝蓋很痛,但是第二天,疼痛就消失了。而且,跪立念佛後,我發現腿和腰椎的疼痛竟減輕了好多。能夠跨越身體上的障礙,我好高興!

還有一個心性上很大的突破。以前我做事情總是非常衝動,遇到事情不能平靜地去思考。這次課程中聽到師父開示「意識光明」時提到,我們在情緒升起時,要先平靜下來,慢慢地思考,想好了再去做決定,這樣,錯誤至少會減少一半。我會牢記師父說的話,按照師父的教導去做,時刻提醒自己不要貪婪,要懂得感恩,懂得用慈悲心對待人和事,同時,我也會更加積極做志工,以幫助更多的人。

During a chanting class held in Malaysia, she mustered her courage to share…
(the following is Dharma sister Zengji’s meditation journal)

When I was just two years old, I fell and hurt my right leg. As a result, I had an operation done on my right kneecap. However, because the treatment was not properly administered, my right leg became shorter than my left leg. Hence I became badger-legged. Since then, I have difficulty balancing whenever I walk. When my body posture is not proper or straight, I would experience pain in my lumbar vertebra. Therefore, I am not able to kneel down. This problem troubled me for many years. I felt that it was the manifestation of my negative karma.

In this chanting class, I tried to maintain a kneeling position when I was chanting so as to eradicate my negative karma. For more than 60 years, I have not kneeled down. However, this time round, I insisted on kneeling though it brought me excruciating pain. I thought that if I could put up with the pain during chanting class, my negative karma would be eliminated! Hence, I adjusted the padding of my cushions, turned my face towards Medicine Buddha and sincerely chanted in a kneeling position.

I am very surprised to find that I could remain kneeling for 3 out of the 7 hours in the day. When I first started to kneel down, my kneecap was extremely painful. However, on the second day, the pain disappeared. Moreover, after chanting in a kneeling position, the pain in my legs and lumbar vertebra reduced significantly. I am very happy to be able to overcome my body obstacles!

I also experienced a spectacular breakthrough spiritually. In the past, I was prone to impulsive actions. I was not able to think through things calmly. In one of Master’s teachings, he reminded us to calm ourselves down when we are in a state of agitation and to consider our options before acting. In this way, we reduce the likelihood of making wrong decisions by half. I will always remember what Master said and try to abide by his instructions. I always remind myself not to be greedy but instead be grateful and compassionate towards people. At the same time, I will be more active in volunteering so as to help more people.

念佛班的第一天,我為一位患重病的師姐念佛祈福。
在念佛時,我特別地真誠,心中想著把功德都迴向給她,希望她能夠恢復健康。神奇的是,約兩三天後,我太太打電話給那位病重的師姐,得知她的身體已明顯改善了,人也變得精神了,也才體會到原來真誠的念佛,效用特別的好。

其實,在進入菩提禪修之前,我的壞習慣很多,酗酒、熱衷於吃喝玩樂。
.
不過,2016年,我和太太去甲洞菩提禪堂參加共修,練習了「大光明修持法」,當下我就感覺很好,馬上迎請了一片《大光明修持法》CD回家,開始每天在家修練,即使有時出差人在國外,我也不會忘了修練。
.
到現在,我進入菩提禪修兩年了,我已經把壞習慣改掉了,還把之前胡亂花費的錢省下來做慈善。未來,我希望自己能多布施,多幫人,為自己以及後輩子孫多積些福德、功德。

A pleasant surprise from the Chanting Class

(Below is meditation journal of Laihai from Malaysia)

From the first day of the chanting class, I had resolved to pray for a fellow practitioner who was very ill. As I chanted, I dedicated all the merits accumulated from the chanting to her, in the hope that it will make her better. About two to three days later, my wife gave the lady a call. Happily, we found out that her situation has improved and she was a lot more energetic than before. That is also when we realized sincere chanting can produce wonderful results.

Actually, I had a lot of bad habits before I came for classes at Bodhi Meditation. I drank excessively and was always preoccupied with fun, good food and drinks.

In 2016, my wife and I practiced the Meditation of Greater Illumination during the group practice in Kepong Bodhi Meditation Center. I felt so good after the practice that I got the CD immediately. Since then, I have been practicing every day, even when I am on business trips.

It has been two years since I joined Bodhi Meditation. I have kicked my bad habits and have donated the money that I saved to charity. It is my wish to be able to be more giving and help more people. At the same time, build more virtues and merits for myself and my future generations.

A pleasant surprise from the Chanting Class

As I chanted, I dedicated all the merits accumulated from the chanting to her, in the hope that it will make her better. About two to three days later, my wife gave the lady a call. 跌傷後遺症 和 尿酸結晶消失了!
十幾年前,我因為跌倒而傷到了尾椎骨,雖然當時有及時就醫,但是還是留下了後遺症——右腳不能久站和蹲坐,還經常麻痹。只要站上半小時,我的右腳關節、膝蓋和腳板都會很疼痛,必須找地方休息好一陣子才能走;也不能自如地坐在地上,坐下後要有人扶著才能站起來。有好幾次因為疼痛厲害而做了針灸治療,但也只能暫時緩解疼痛,不能痊癒。

2018年2月,一個偶然的機會,通過朋友的介紹我認識了菩提禪修。還記得那天是菩提禪修說明會。我聽了說明會後感覺不錯,就立即報名了2個課程——菩提禪修減壓班和健身班。開始上課時我是不能盤坐的。可是課程的第3天,我驚覺自己可以盤坐了!雖然盤坐的時間還不到半小時,但是我的右腳已經不會像以往那樣僵硬和麻痹了。

減壓班結束之後,緊接著我上了3月份舉辦的健身班。課程開始的頭兩三天,因為長時間站立修練「大光明」,我的右腿從膝蓋一直痛到腳底!但是課程的第4天,我很欣喜地發現自己竟然可以連續修練2小時而不感到腳痛了!在課程第6天就可以跪立念佛長達1小時呢!並且從那時開始,我可以蹲坐了,坐下後不需要別人扶著也可以自己站起來。禪修解除了我十多年的困擾,這真的是太神奇了!!

令人驚奇的還不只一件,一年多前,我發現右腳的無名指頭長了一粒顆粒,按壓到它會很痛。到醫院檢查後發現是因為我的尿酸過高而長了尿酸結晶。原本計畫過一陣子做個小手術把它割除,沒想到竟然在上健身班的第8天發現結晶消失了!我喜出望外,感覺就像是中了樂透一樣興奮!

以前,我常常感到疲累,禪修後的我現在精神飽滿的,工作一整天回到家後,還可以把繁雜的家事做完而不感覺累呢!禪修不但改善了我的健康,也讓我變得心胸寬闊,不會再為小事耿耿於懷和鑽牛角尖了! 感恩菩提禪修讓我獲得健康和快樂!

辛苦的求子之路,只有經歷過的人才能明白。

我叫戰洋,今年30歲,現在是一名快樂的孕婦,但就在幾個月前,我還在為如何求子而煩惱不已。
.
故事從2009年6月說起,我和丈夫結婚半年多,就發現自己懷孕了,但是在懷孕三個半月的時候,醫生檢查出我懷的是雙胞胎男孩,很不幸的是,有一個胎兒因為營養不良,脊椎骨和胸部發育不良,如果決定繼續妊娠,很有可能在懷孕後期流產,不僅兩個孩子保不住,大人的生命也可能受到威脅。在無可選擇的無奈下,妊娠第四個月,醫生對我實施了引產手術。當時,我的身心都沉浸在巨大的悲痛之中。但是我和丈夫還都抱著能夠再次懷孕的希望 。

就這樣,我一直在期盼著再次懷孕。但在這段時間裡,我非但沒有如預期地懷孕,反而因為引產的原因,身體變得非常虛弱,因為沒有體力運動,體重達到了180磅,經常心慌、胸悶,喘不過氣。而且我的心理壓力也很大,月經變得混亂,脾氣暴躁,脫髮很嚴重。這些身心的狀態,使我根本無法工作,醫生也檢查不出什麼具體的疾病。此時,身體健康成了我最大的困擾,懷孕對我來說,根本已成了奢求。

就在我身心倍受煎熬的時候,我遇見了菩提,熱心的師姐告訴我:菩提禪修可以幫我去除身心的疾病,並且不收任何費用。於是我抱著試試看的心理,參加了2011年2月13日藥師佛新春祈福加持法會。在法會上,我有幸得到觀海宗師幫助,之後又接著報名了2011年2月19日,為期8天半的菩提禪修健身班。

在這8天半中,我每天都像在接受身心的洗禮,人一天比一天開心,身體一天比一天輕鬆,胸口不再悶了,呼吸也通暢了,身體裡好像有一股源源不斷的能量,人變得精神很多。最大的改善,就是在不節食的情況下,我瘦了10磅,頭髮也不再一把把的脫落了。我的改變,丈夫也感覺到了。他感覺我變得開朗了許多,不再亂發脾氣了,家裡的歡笑聲逐漸多了起來。

之後,我馬上又參加了3月26日健身班。在課程結束沒多久,我發現自己竟然懷孕了。我非常驚喜!在2011年4月11日,我到醫院進行檢查,醫生確切地告訴我,我已經懷孕5周了。這真是天大的喜訊。而且,這次懷孕的反應和上次完全不同,這一次沒有嘔吐、頭暈的症狀 。

妊娠到了9月中,我到醫院作例行產檢,醫生說胎兒27週了,卻只有 1 Lb 14oz,98%的胎兒都比我的大。如果胎兒繼續生長緩慢,有可能會早產或者停止生長。如果嬰兒停止發育,就要催生出來,在保溫箱裏人工餵養生長。醫生告訴我必須儘快打生長激素,但我不想打。於是我特別請了一疊「加持紙」回家使用。

當天晚上,我將加持過的紙貼在腰、腹,半夜突然覺得飢餓,開始不停地吃東西,這種飢餓感一直持續著,只要感覺餓,我就馬上進食。直到9月20日,又回到醫院複診,醫生檢查之後,驚喜地告訴我,胎兒在4天裏長到了 2 Lb 2oz,孩子大小基本正常了。

經過幾次的神奇感應,讓我感覺到佛陀無邊無量的法力, 還有菩提的加持調理,真是不可思議。

Bodhi Child

The difficult and heart-wrenching journey trying to have a child can only be understood by those who have experienced it. Some people are able to conceive naturally. Others tried all means and eventually failed!
It is actually not difficult to have children, but what is the most effective method?
The following is a real story for your reference ….. .

My name is Zhan-yang. I am 30 years old this year and I am happily pregnant now. A few months ago, I was still upset on how to go about conceiving a child.

It all began in June 2009. Six months into my marriage, I discovered that I was pregnant. After three and a half months, the doctor confirmed that I was having twin boys. Unfortunately, the spine and chest of one of the babies did not develop well due to malnutrition and my doctor advised me to terminate my pregnancy. If I insisted on continuing with my pregnancy, there was high chance that I would experience miscarriage during the second trimester of pregnancy, lose both babies and even lose my own life. As I was left with no choice, I agreed for the doctor to perform an abortion procedure during the 4th month of pregnancy. I was deeply grieved. However, my husband and I still held on to the hope that I would be able to conceive in the future.

Subsequently, however, not only did I not conceive, my body became very weak due to the abortion. As I felt too lethargic to exercise, my weight increased by leaps and bounds to 180 pounds. I was often flustered, felt tightness in my chest and was easily breathless. As I was under tremendous stress, my menstruation cycle went haywire. I became very hot-tempered and start to lose hair. I was also unable to concentrate on my work due to my physical and mental state of mind. The doctors could not detect any specific cause. At this point, my health became my biggest problem and pregnancy to me became a luxury.

Just when I was in despair, I came across Bodhi Meditation. The Dharma sister told me: Bodhi meditation can help me to remove physical and mental conditions and is free of charge. Hoping for the best, I joined the 13 February 2011 Medicine Buddha Blessing Ceremony. At the ceremony, I was fortunate to be helped by teacher Guanhai. Subsequently, I enrolled for the Bodhi 8.5 days Bodhi Meditation Health & Happiness Retreat commencing 19 February 2011.

During the eight and a half days retreat, I felt like I was being purified and cleansed physically and spiritually every day. I felt happier and more relaxed. There was no more tightness of the chest and my breathing became smooth. There seemed to be a steady flow of energy and I felt recharged. My biggest take-away was that, without dieting, I lost ten pounds. I also stopped losing so much hair. My husband also felt the change in me. I had become more cheerful, hardly lost my temper, and the whole house was filled with laughter.

Soon after, I attended the 8.5 day health and happiness retreat on 26 March 2011. Not long after the course, I was very surprised to discover that I was pregnant. On 11 April 2011, I went to the hospital for an examination. The doctor told me I was already five weeks pregnant. It was really great news. Moreover, the symptoms of the pregnancy were completely different from the last time as there was no vomiting or dizziness.

During the 3rd trimester In mid-September, I went to the hospital for a routine check-up. The doctor told me that the fetus at 27 weeks old, weighed only 1lb 14oz. 98% of the fetuses at 27 weeks were larger than mine. If the fetus continues to grow so slowly, it may stop growing or ended up in premature birth. Should the organs of the baby be not fully developed , it will end up in induced birth and the baby would have to be fed artificially in an incubator. The doctor told me that I needed to inject growth hormone as soon as possible, but I didn’t agree to it. I went to Bodhi Meditation Center to ask for “blessed papers” and use it at home.

That evening, I place the “blessed papers’ on my waist and abdomen. In the middle of the night, I suddenly felt hungry and began to eat. Whenever I felt hungry I would eat immediately. This feeling of hunger persisted till 20 September. When I went back to the hospital for a return visit, the doctor was pleasantly surprised that the fetus had grown to 2 lb 2oz in four days and the child was almost normal in size.

After several miraculous encounters, I feel that Buddha’s boundless and immeasurable power and Bodhi’s energy blessings are unfathomable.

Finally, I am grateful to Buddha! Grateful to Master Jin Bodhi!
