《佛說觀無量壽佛經》中說：
一聲佛號，能滅八十億劫生死重罪。

是什麼意思呢？
比如，在一間暗室裡(寓意人們的愚痴障礙)，點燃一盞燈，就可以照亮整個屋子(寓意佛的吉祥光芒)。
.
所以，無論現在的你，正面臨著哪些問題或煩惱，
請多「念佛」吧！！

A sincere chant to Buddha brings you a lifetime of auspiciousness

In the Amitayurdhyana sutra (or Sutra of Contemplation on Buddha Amitayus) the Buddha said,
” A sincere chant to Buddha can eradicate eight billions of the most severe past wrongdoings.”

What does that mean?
For example, in a pitch black room (referring to sentient beings being ignorant and obstructed from reality), when we light a lamp, the entire house will be illuminated (symbolizing the auspicious light of the Buddha).

Thus, no matter the challenges, or frustrations that you are currently facing, let’s venerate the Buddha through more sincere chanting!!

May all of you be blessed with;

在佛誕日這一天，全世界都在為偉大的「佛陀誕生」盛大慶祝著。

5月4日(星期六)，在台灣/台北，盛大舉辦了「浴佛節吉祥大加持法會」，我也會親自到場主持法會活動。

法會當天有體驗區、美食園遊會、多樣親子同樂活動、集點送好禮等豐富內容。菩提禪修誠摯邀請您，前來參加盛大的「浴佛吉祥大加持法會」，共同歡慶佛誕日。

“2019 Bathing the Buddha Blessings Ceremony” organized by Bodhi Meditation

At the instance of Sakyamuni Buddha’s birth, the earth shook, heavenly fairies scattered flowers and nine dragons spouted water that showered the little prince. These are signs of both heaven and earth rejoicing in the birth. His birth heralded the arrival of the Buddhist dharma and revealed the path of liberation that all lost sentient beings can follow.

As we showered the Buddha with fresh flowers and clean water, we are cleansing our hearts in return. Once cleansed of mortal grime, we should make a vow to help all other sentient beings get cleansed so that they, too, can be blessed with good fortune and bright illumination.

The whole world celebrates the birth of the eminent Buddha on this special day.

On May 4 (Saturday), we will be holding the “Bathing the Buddha Blessings Ceremony” in Taipei, Taiwan. I will be there personally to preside over the ceremony.

On that day, there will be an experiential zone, a fun-fair filled with good food, great gifts and many fun parent-child bonding activities. Bodhi Meditation cordially invites you to join us in the “Bathing the Buddha Blessings Ceremony” to celebrate the birth day of the distinguished Buddha.

Let us sing the praises of Buddha and venerate to him:
“Today, as I bathe the Buddha with water – Buddha with the purest wisdom, a regal countenance and sufficient merits – I wish that all sentient beings will be cleansed of their mortal grime and attain enlightenment like the Buddha.”

Location and time of the ceremony:
Time: May 2, 2019 (Saturday), 9am to 1pm Taiwan time.
Location: Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1, No. 1 Jingmao 2nd Road, Nangang District, Taipei City 11568.
See you all in Hall 1 of Nangang Exhibition Center.

To get/reserve tickets online:
1. Leave your name and email address on the online ticket reservation form. (Please provide a valid email address to ensure that you receive the electronic ticket.)
2. Select the number of people attending the ceremony.
3. You will receive an email after submitting the form.
4. On the day itself, show the email to the Bodhi Meditation staff at the entrance to gain entry. You can choose to either show them the email on your phone or print out a hard copy.

*Quantities are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis.

微笑的力量 . 有一家大名鼎鼎的花店，想…

微笑的力量
.
有一家大名鼎鼎的花店，想以高薪聘請一位售花小姐，招聘廣告一張帖後，前來應聘的人多如過江之鯽。經過幾番口試，最後留下了三位女孩，花店經理讓她們每人經營花店一週，打算從中挑選最優秀的一人。
.
這三個女孩，一個曾在花店賣過花，一個是花藝學校的應屆畢業生，另一個女孩則沒有任何花藝經驗。
.
賣過花的女孩，聽到經理以一週的成績為應聘標準，心中竊喜：「插花、賣花對我來說是駕輕就熟的。」幾乎每一個進花店的人，她都能想辦法讓客人掏錢買花。一週下來，她的銷售成績相當不錯。
.
第二位應屆畢業生，她充分發揮書本上學來的知識經營花店。一週後，她的經營成績也非常不錯。
.
最後這位沒有任何花藝經驗的女孩，她雖然沒有任何相關經驗，但是她的臉上總是掛著美麗的微笑。所有來店裡看花的客人，都被女孩溫暖的笑容所吸引，紛紛幫女孩推薦客人來買花。
.
一週後，女孩的銷售成績出來了，成績遠遠高出有賣花經驗的前兩位女孩。
.
最後，花店經理滿意地留下沒有賣花經驗的女孩。
.
兩位女孩離去前，花店經理感慨地對她們說：「
妳們的能力非常優秀，但是要明白，用鮮花賺再多的錢是有限的，用美麗的笑容與心情去經營才是無限的。
.
精湛的花藝，可以靠努力學習來獲得，而散發像花朵一樣美麗、燦爛的氛圍，是能力無法做到的。因為這裡面包含著一個人的氣質、品德以及藝術和修養。」
.
微笑能予人溫暖；
微笑能予人力量；
微笑能使人信心滿滿；
微笑是人生最寶貴的財富！！
.

The Power of Smile

There was a famous flower shop that offered to pay a high salary to hire a floral sales associate. When the job advertisement was posted, there were several job applicants. After some rounds of interviews, three ladies were shortlisted, and the floral shop manager let each lady run the shop operations for a week, intending to pick the best candidate.

Of the three ladies, one had sold flowers at a florist previously; one was a fresh graduate of a floral management school; and the last had no practical experience in floral arrangement.

The lady who had sold flowers previously heard that the manager’s criteria was a week’s sales results. Secretly pleased, she thought, “Flower arrangement and sales are most familiar to me”. Thus, she found ways to try to get everyone who entered the shop to buy flowers. As the week ended, her sales results were pretty good.

The second fresh graduate gave full play to the knowledge she learnt from school to run the florist. A week later, her business performance was also impressive.

Last, for the lady who had no background in running a florist, while she lacked relevant experience, she always wore a beautiful smile on her face. All the customers who came in to check out the flowers were attracted by the lady’s warm smile and helped to recommend more customers to buy flowers.

A week followed, and as the sales results were tallied, the last lady’s results were far higher than the first two ladies who had prior experience and capability.

Eventually, the shop manager hired the lady with no prior experience in selling flowers.

Before the two ladies left, the floral shop manager solemnly explained to them, “You may have strong capabilities, but if you focus on floral sales, your potential is limited. However, with a beautiful smile and positive vibe, your potential is limitless.

Superb floral art arrangement can be picked up through diligence, but to exude an exceptional and radiant smile that complement the flowers is a quality that is hard to come by. This is much due to the person’s temperament, moral character, aesthetic appreciation and cultivation.

A smile can radiate warmth;
A smile can garner strength;
A smile can inspire confidence;
The Smile is life’s most precious asset!!

Let us now raise the corners of our lips, smile together and feel the marvelous power of our smiles!
