— Chant for our loved ones!

In everyone’s heart, there is surely some heartwarming memories with our fathers and mothers.

If we would recall, during our growing-up, no matter how difficult life was – during the many bumps and setbacks that we encountered – our parents have always supported us silently by our sides, never leaving us alone or behind. Those moments that once touched us deeply, and the gratitude that is etched in our hearts; we would not be able to repay our parents.

On this special day, let us chant for our loved ones, particularly our fathers, mothers and our ancestors, to usher the most auspicious blessings and illumination for their life paths!

It is only when our ancestors, fathers and mothers are auspicious and blissful, can we be blessed with smooth and joyful life paths!

Every sincere chant of repentance receives the extraordinary blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. May everyone be blessed with dedicated practices, good fortune and happiness!!

【四月】耐力造就成功

我在《我的未來我創造》的影片裡講過一個故事:「我認識一個武林高手,小時候笨笨的,但是他十年每天練武3小時,終於成為一代高手。」十年有3650天,每天3小時,也就是一萬多小時的勤學苦練。這就是一萬小時定律在起作用了。
.
「一萬小時定律」說的是:要成為某個領域的高手,一定要花大量時間刻意練習,不是玩,也不是普通的重複,而是刻意的練習。這個時間平均是一萬小時。
.
在需要實力,而不是運氣的行業裡,那些高手們都是這樣「刻意」長時間練習,才取得了相應的成就。例如那些著名的音樂家,體育明星,電腦高手。
.
「刻意的練習」通常是在你的舒適區之外的練習,也最好能經常得到這個行業高手的回饋。這樣的練習才是行之有效的。
.
所以,給自己創造一個好的練習環境,也是通往成功的一個關鍵。
.
設立目標之後,努力加時間,必然出功夫!

【April】 Endurance leads to success

I spoke about this story in one of my videos, ‘I Create My Own Future’. I know of an accomplished martial arts master, who as a child was rather slow-witted. Yet with three hours of martial arts practice every day for ten years, he finally became a master of his generation. There are 3,650 days in ten years. With three hours a day, it translates into more than 10,000 hours of hard work. That’s the 10,000-hour Law at work.

The “10,000-hour Law” states, to become a master in a certain field, it is necessary to spend substantial time in intensive practice. It is not merely play, or ordinary repetition, but ‘conscious’ practice.
Typically, it takes 10,000 hours in duration.

In times when capability, rather than luck matters in many professions, those masters typically make ‘conscious’ attempts at long practices, so as to achieve the corresponding achievements.
We see many such examples in famous musicians, sports stars, and computer experts.

‘Conscious practice’ usually involves stretching our efforts outside of our comfort zone. Also, it is best that we obtain feedback from the relevant industry experts on a regular basis. Such approaches tend to be effective.

So, let’s create good practice environments for ourselves. It is also a fundamental key to our overall success.

After setting our goals, put in our conscious efforts; with significant time, we will produce results!

其實,父母與子女的關係,是根據前世因果而來。血親之間因「共業」而相聚首;也因為這些因緣,開啟了這些來到你生命中,那些妻恩子愛,父慈子孝,多少美麗且令人動容的血親之旅,一榮俱榮,一損俱損。

因此有人問我:「祖先應該要保祐後代子孫,家宅興旺、順利平安?卻為何有些人年年祭拜祖先,卻還是家運不好,進而生病.破財.家庭失和呢...?」
.
這些生命中的不順遂,要如何去圓滿呢?
要想消除這些問題,就要先認識這些問題的錯誤根源?
.

【Chant for Your Parents and Ancestors】 – Episode 1 — Only when the ancestors are auspicious and illuminated, can descendants be safe and blessed with smooth life paths!

As the saying goes, “Accumulating merits for descendants would surely garner auspiciousness; committing atrocities would surely endanger descendants with calamities” – what does that mean?

In reality, the relationship between parents and their children is due to the cause-and-effect of the past. Relatives are gathered together due to ‘collective karmic conditions’, and because these conditions have ‘ripened’ in this lifetime, we experience beautiful and touching encounters with our loved ones – of our grateful, loving spouses; compassionate parents; and filial children – unfold before us, for better or for worse.

Thus, I have been asked, “should the ancestors bless their descendants and future generations with flourishing families, residences, and smooth and peaceful life paths?” And why is it that despite worshipping their ancestors year after year, some encounter poor family luck, become stricken with illness, burdened with loss of fortune, and family discords …?

How do we effectively overcome these adversities in life?
To resolve these issues, we would first need to understand the root causes.

I invite everyone to chant for our ancestors, to seek auspicious blessings!

Let’s discuss about how to resolve fully the sources of the karmic afflictions passed on over generations; (and) seek the Buddha’s great compassion, his great illumination to light up our ancestors, our and all descendants and further generations’ paths, so that everyone is luminous with auspicious light!

我在這兒給大家推薦一款,暖胃、暖身、又暖心的「山藥南瓜粥」。

據《本草綱目》記載,南瓜性溫,味甘、入脾、胃經,具有補中益氣、生肝氣、益肝血、保胎、消炎止痛、化痰排膿、解毒殺蟲等功能。而「山藥」能分解蛋白質和碳水化合物,其中的澱粉酶,有人稱之為「消化素」,所以有滋補效果。
.
因此,中老年人在「春季」裡,經常食用「山藥南瓜粥」,對身體的滋補是非常有幫助的。願大家不受多變的春季天候影響。
.
預備食材:
1.新鮮山藥200g
2.粳米100g
3.南瓜 200g
4.白胡椒粉 少許
5.鹽巴 酌量
6.水 兩大碗
.
作法:
A.將新鮮山藥、南瓜、紅蘿蔔洗淨切片。
B.將A與粳米加水一同入鍋,小火熬煮。
C.當米煮至黏稠,加入調料即可關火起鍋。

Here I recommend you a dish that warms your stomach, body and heart — Chinese Yam and Pumpkin Porridge .

According to Compendium of Materia Medica, an ancient Chinese herbology book, the pumpkin’s warm characteristic and sweetness improves the spleen functions and the stomach meridian, replenishes the qi, prevents miscarriages, reduces inflammation, relieves pain, dissolves phlegm, neutralizes toxins and also many other benefits. Chinese yam breaks down protein and carbohydrates and with the existence of amylase, a digestive enzyme, it has a nourishing effect.

Therefore, eating Chinese yam and pumpkin porridge in spring is nourishing and good for old people. I hope you guys won’t be affected by the unstable spring weather.

Ingredients:
1. 200 grams of fresh Chinese yam
2. 100 grams of sinica rice (short grained)
3. 200 grams of pumpkin
4. a little white pepper
5. Suitable amount of salt
6. 2 bowls of water

Methods:
A Slice the fresh Chinese yams, pumpkins and carrots.
B Simmer the vegetable slices and sinica rice with mild fire.
C When the rice is cooked into gruel, add the seasonings and turn off the stove.

It’s that simple to make this dish!

學會「寬恕」就能過得幸福美好!

要想過得幸福、美好,就要學會:
「原諒曾經傷害過你的人,也要做一個不輕易被傷害的人。」
.
那麼要如何做到呢?
.
一、學會「寬恕」愛情中,傷害過你的人。
放下曾經的情感往事,並且學會更加愛惜自己,充實自我,才能重新找到真正屬於自己的愛情,從而回歸正常且美好的生活。
.
二、學會「寬恕」至親間,對自己的不諒解。
至親至愛間,因愛而聚,血濃於水。我們要多想想對方的好處;你會發現,沒有什麼誤會比對方給予我們的愛還要深。因為愛而產生的誤會,我們回報以「愛」與「柔軟」,就能獲得真正的幸福。

三、學會「寬恕」工作上,所有批評、攻擊過你的人。
並且謙虛接受、越挫越勇,勇於挑戰與創新,使自己有更傑出的工作表現,讓長官們心服口服,讓自己立於職場的不敗之地。
.
「寬恕」別人,其實是為了讓自己過得更好。
寬恕就像是一輪明鏡,寬恕對方,也就是解脫了你自己,你的未來將更美好、幸福。

Learn to 「forgive」 so as to lead a happy and beautiful life!

If you want to enjoy a happy and beautiful life, you must learn to 「forgive those who had hurt you, and be a person who does not feel hurt easily」.

How do you do it?

First, learn to 「forgive」 those who had hurt you in love.
By letting go of the emotional past, and learning to cherish ourselves, we can enrich our personalities. This could help us find our true love, and regain our regular, blissful life.

Second, learn to 「forgive」 loved ones who had misunderstood us. Realize that it is love that has bonded us in such relationships, and that blood is thicker than water. We have to appreciate the good in others. Then, we would find that there is no misunderstanding deeper than the love the other party has given us.
In misunderstandings with our loved ones, we should reciprocate with 「love」 and 「gentleness」; this could in turn give us real happiness.

Third, learn to 「forgive」 those who had criticized and rebutted us at work.
In addition, humbly accept, conscientiously embrace challenges and innovate, so as to deliver outstanding performance to convince our superiors of our career standings and aspirations.

In reality, 「forgiveness」 brings about a sense of serenity in us.
「Forgiveness」 is like a series of mirrors. By forgiving one another, we are liberating ourselves, enabling a more beautiful and happier future.

May everyone be blessed with a happy and beautiful life!

被解放的靈魂

以下是馬來西亞/龍泉禪堂_甯雙的禪修見證…
.
小時候因為爸爸的一聲吼叫,我封閉了自己的內心。每天行屍走肉,對於自己的童年我沒有多少記憶,甚至可以說是灰色的。感謝上天並沒有遺棄我,讓我認識菩提禪修,我才發現這世界是多彩美麗的,人生有了目標,變得更有意義。
.
認識菩提禪修以前,我的免疫系統很差,加上先天性貧血,所以身體非常地虛弱。中學時,我要上3樓去上課,每次到2樓,頭就開始暈眩,必須停下來休息5分鐘左右才可以繼續上。
.
還有每個月來例假的頭三天,肚子會痛到在床上翻滾,沒辦法去上課。而且每次例假都會超過十天以上,併發著出血塊,手腳冰冷,那幾天經常來例假伴隨著感冒,真的非常非常的痛苦。
.
2014年8月的某一天,我踩在椅子上拿很重的東西,突然聽到後背「嘎吱」一聲響。從那時候開始,我發覺我的腰骨很痛,無法久坐或久站,腰骨疼痛得受不了。
.
11月中旬,媽媽通過《禪修與健康》雜誌認識了菩提禪修。從此我的幸運之門打開了。我經常到禪堂接受能量加持,也參加了八天半的「菩提禪修健身班」,課程還沒結束,我就驚訝地發現,自己站著練功一整天,腰骨竟然一點也不覺得疼,精神體力也越來越好了,我好開心,對菩提功法特別有信心。
.
此後,我每天堅持不間斷地修練「大光明」和「八卦內功」。
.
2015年5月,我去做了一次體檢,醫生說我的腰骨是正常的,先天性貧血也好了。
.
同年6月,我驚奇地發現我的例假來四天就結束了,而且每次都保持在四天之內,血量也恢復正常,沒有出現血塊、不再痛經、手腳變溫暖了、免疫力增強,也不再輕易感冒了。
.
大家都說我的氣色越來越好,臉色變得紅潤有光澤,眼睛變得更有神了。
.

以下是馬來西亞/龍泉禪堂_甯雙的禪修見證…

小時候因為爸爸的一聲吼叫,我封閉了自己的內心。每天行屍走肉,對於自己的童年我沒有多少記憶,甚至可以說是灰色的。感謝上天並沒有遺棄我,讓我認識菩提禪修,我才發現這世界是多彩美麗的,人生有了目標,變得更有意義。

認識菩提禪修以前,我的免疫系統很差,加上先天性貧血,所以身體非常地虛弱。中學時,我要上3樓去上課,每次到2樓,頭就開始暈眩,必須停下來休息5分鐘左右才可以繼續上。
.
還有每個月來例假的頭三天,肚子會痛到在床上翻滾,沒辦法去上課。而且每次例假都會超過十天以上,併發著出血塊,手腳冰冷,那幾天經常來例假伴隨著感冒,真的非常非常的痛苦。
.
2014年8月的某一天,我踩在椅子上拿很重的東西,突然聽到後背「嘎吱」一聲響。從那時候開始,我發覺我的腰骨很痛,無法久坐或久站,腰骨疼痛得受不了。
.
11月中旬,媽媽通過《禪修與健康》雜誌認識了菩提禪修。從此我的幸運之門打開了。我經常到禪堂接受能量加持,也參加了八天半的「菩提禪修健身班」,課程還沒結束,我就驚訝地發現,自己站著練功一整天,腰骨竟然一點也不覺得疼,精神體力也越來越好了,我好開心,對菩提功法特別有信心。

此後,我每天堅持不間斷地修練「大光明」和「八卦內功」。
.
2015年5月,我去做了一次體檢,醫生說我的腰骨是正常的,先天性貧血也好了。
.
同年6月,我驚奇地發現我的例假來四天就結束了,而且每次都保持在四天之內,血量也恢復正常,沒有出現血塊、不再痛經、手腳變溫暖了、免疫力增強,也不再輕易感冒了。
.
大家都說我的氣色越來越好,臉色變得紅潤有光澤,眼睛變得更有神了。
.
