【通度寺】韓國三寶寺之二

韓國佛教寺院中，被合稱為「三寶寺」中的通度寺位於慶尚南道梁山市鷲栖山，為寺中供奉了釋迦牟尼頂骨舍利，而被稱為「佛寶寺」。
.
通度寺於善德女王時期建造，西元646年建成，經過多次戰爭入侵、損毀又重建，距今已逾1300年歷史。全寺占地極廣，氣氛莊嚴，並以大量木材以及石材建成，充滿了古樸而大器之感。
.
通度寺的主殿為大雄殿，值得一提的，大殿後方的金剛戒壇上供奉了釋迦牟尼的真身舍利，所以不同於一般寺院主殿供奉的神祇塑像，通度寺的大雄殿中，並沒有供奉任何神像。大雄殿以及金剛戒壇更被列為韓國第290號國寶，受到國家保護。

除此之外，通度寺環境清幽，景緻絕美，青山綠水，松柏長青，是不少人心中賞景的絕佳地點。其中一柱門、法鼓、梵鐘、夕照、蓮池、岩石、瀑布、松樹都自有韻味，長久以來都有「通度寺八景」的美稱，有興趣的朋友，可以前往一遊。

The 10-day Bodhi Meditation International Youth Camp is to develop youth with leadership qualities, outstanding character and a foresighted vision. To ensure participants of the 10-day camp receive comprehensive training, the course curriculum covers leadership, character development; critical thinking, values and morality, and many other outdoor activities. The camp activities include the use of Bodhi-Meditation practice methods and memory exercises. The intention is to enable participants to acquire in-depth understanding of meditation and experience the wonders of wisdom through cultivation and application to daily life. There is also a series of seminars on higher education, bridging the gap between the participants and several world renowned higher learning institutions. During the camp, participants also learn about respect, gratitude and teamwork. Not only will they grow to be dedicated and caring individuals, they also get a chance to challenge themselves and achieve personal breakthroughs with focused goals in life. 漆黑的夜晚，有個僧人走進一條小巷，他看見巷道深處有一團暈黃的燈光閃爍著，一位村民說：「瞎子過來了。」僧人驚奇的問：「那挑燈的人是瞎子嗎？」

僧人百思不得其解：「瞎子挑燈豈不令人可笑嗎？」僧人便問盲人：「請問施主真的看不見嗎？」盲人回：「是的，打從娘胎我就雙眼失明。」
.
僧人問：「既然您什麼也看不見，那為何挑燈呢？」盲人說：「我聽說黑夜裡沒有燈光，全世界的人都和我一樣看不見，所以我點燃了一盞燈。」
.
僧人點點頭說：「原來您挑燈是為了給別人照明？」但盲人卻說：「不，我是為我自己！」「為您自己？」僧人愣了。盲人笑嘻嘻地說：「您剛剛從暗巷一路走來，難道都沒和他人碰撞過？」僧人說：「有啊！我剛還不小心被撞了一下！」

盲人說：「雖然我什麼也看不見，但挑了這盞燈，既為別人照亮路，也讓別人看到了我。這樣，他們就不會因為看不見而碰撞到我了。」
.
僧人聽了仰天長歎說：「這些年，我辛辛苦苦到處尋找真理，原來真理就像盲人手上的一盞燈，只要我點燃了它，即使我看不見它，它也會發出光芒，照耀前方，也幫助了別人。」
.
在生活中，學習熱愛生命，並且珍惜一切，你就會感受到，對方回饋的溫暖與快樂！為了我們自己，也是為了我們所有人，點燃生命之燈吧！在朦朧夜色裡，尋找到平安和喜樂！

In a dark night, a monk walked into an alley and notice a fuzzy yellow light at the end of the lane. A villager commented, “Here comes the blind man.” The monk asked, “The blind man carries a lamp?”
The monk could not understand as a blind man carrying a lamp was just too quirky. The monk asked the blind man, “Are you not able to see anything?” The blind man replied, “Yes, I was born a blind man.”
Monk asked, “Why are you carrying a lamp since you are not able to see anything?” The blind man replied, “I heard that there is no light at night and all the people in the world would be like me, unable to see; so I carry a lamp.”
Monk nodded his head and said, “So you are carrying a lamp to light up other people’s paths.” However the blind man said, “No, it is for myself!”. “For yourself?”, the monk was dumbfounded. The blind man laughed and said, “Did you collide with anyone just now when you came from the other end of the alley?” Monk replied, “Yes! I bumped into someone just now.”
Blind man said, “Even though I can’t see, by carrying a lamp, I light up the path for others and others in turn will be able to see me and avoid colliding with me.”
The monk laughed and said, “I have been searching for the Truth all these years and the Truth is akin to the lamp carried by the blind man. So long as I light the lamp and even though I cannot see, it will still radiate light and illuminate the paths in front for others”.
We need to learn to love our lives and cherish all things and circumstances. In this way, we will feel warmth and happiness! For the sake of ourselves and for the love of others, light up our lives now! In this way, we will be able to find peace and joy in the darkness.

今天看到網路上一則令人憂傷的新聞…
瓜地馬拉火山 1974年以來最大噴發。
位在中南美洲_瓜地馬拉的_富埃戈火山，在當地3號突然大規模噴發，火山噴發至今還在持續，許多人逃生不及當場被活埋，據報導現在死亡人數已經增加到了72人，失蹤人數不明。

當地火山調查單位表示，光是5日早晨，富埃戈火山每小時就高達10次的噴發，災區的高溫使泥土都被融化了，救援活動難上加難。面對重大死傷，當地政府已宣布3天國殤。

Our Prayers and Blessings to Guatemalans. May they be safe!
Today, I came across a very sad pice of news on the internet:
Mount Fuego has erupted, the largest volcanic eruption in Guatemala since 1974.
Located in Central America, Mountain Fuego in Guatemala erupted on June 3rd. Mount Fuego is still erupting and has since caused a death toll of 72 and many still missing.
Based on the Guatemalan volcano survey unit, Mount Fuego erupted up to 10 times per hour on the morning of June 5th. The high temperature lava resulting from the eruption has heated up the surrounding land causing rescue work to be almost impossible. Facing a large death toll, the Guatemalan government has declared 3 days of national mourning.
Let’s us get together and pray for Guatemala: May the light of Buddha shine on Guatemala, calming down Mount Fuego; May the deceased rest in peace: May those injured recover soon; May all rescue efforts proceed smoothly and safely.
