What to Eat During the Winter Solstice: Qi-Boosting Red Bean Porridge

The Winter Solstice is the day with the shortest daylight and the longest night of the year.
From this day on, the daylight gradually increases, and yang energy begins to rise.
The period around the Winter Solstice is the best time to replenish qi (vital energy).
It’s ideal to eat warm and nourishing foods, and avoid foods that are too spicy or cold.
