當我們經歷了坎坷與挫折,不一定是壞事。怎麼說呢?

在我很小的時候,在中國北方都種╴小麥,通常是在秋天播種!播種之後,小麥就開始生根、發芽,當長出十公分高的時候,嚴酷的寒冬就來了,天氣很冷開始下雪,當雪把小麥全給覆蓋了。我擔心地問長輩們:「這樣會不會把小麥凍死啊?」長輩們說:「不用擔心,就是要讓這個冰冷去刺激它,明年開春之後,小麥才能更加茁壯地成長,而且這樣的小麥磨成麵粉才是最香的。如果小麥沒有經過嚴酷霜雪的歷練和刺激,吃在嘴裡就感覺不那麼香、就不好吃啦。」

所以,我們人體中其實還有好多潛在的能力,是可以被生活環境激發出來的。只有清淨下來,修到隨遇而安、不起煩惱,煩惱才可能開始消失,疾病也開始消失,得到真正的健康快樂。

[Newly released]_Seeing through: The Only Way to Letting Go

Experiencing setbacks and obstacles may not be a bad thing. Why is that so?

In the place where I grew up in Northern China, wheat was the predominant crop. The adults would plant them during the autumn season, which was strange because winters were quite harsh there. It would usually start snowing when the seedlings were about ten centimeters tall. Before long, all the seedlings would be buried in the snow. Once, I asked the adults, “Won’t the seedlings freeze to death?” They replied, “Don’t worry. The cold is good for them. The iciness acts as stimulus to the seedlings, and they would grow even more robustly when spring arrives. From experience, the most fragrant and delicious wheat flour is derived from plants that have survived through harsh winters.”

Similarly, a tough environment can trigger the development of latent abilities in us – abilities which would otherwise have remained hidden. Troubles and illnesses will start to fade from our bodies when we are at ease. We can achieve happiness and health when we have mastered the ability to remain unperturbed no matter what happens.

Today’s discussion is for those of you who are learning dharma or following the Way. Even if you are doing neither, and your desire is simply to lead a carefree and happy life filled with good fortune, today’s discussion will benefit you too. Listen to it a few more times and you will gain a better understanding of the universal truth.

放下,才能活在當下!
曾經,許多人都有過,在昨天、在去年、或者是更久之前,在心裡頭產生過一次或若干次「仇恨」這個概念。

當時恨對方恨得讓自己不能解脫,傷痛欲絕,甚至因此住了院;因為恨,你從此不再交朋友。但是現在想想你曾經的恨,今天還有嗎?如果今天還有恨,你所恨的程度,和曾經最恨的時候相比還相同嗎?
.
其實,人生絕大多數的困擾,都是自己造成的。
許多人都曾經告訴過自己應該要「學會放下」,但人總是會在不知不覺中,讓自己活在過去,當糾結於已經無法改變的事實,就容易徒增很多煩惱,那麼如何避免自己總是糾結在過去呢,那就必須「看透事物的本質」並且努力的「活在當下」。

所以,真正困住我們的往往不是別人,而是自己,真正能夠改變自己、幫助自己跳脫人生泥淖的也只有自己。

【Newly released】 Seeing Through: The Only Way to Letting Go

Let go, so that you can live in the moment!
Perhaps, many have experienced the feeling of hatred towards someone in the past.

During that time the feeling of hatred was so intense that we were stuck in pain and even had to be hospitalized or lost our social network.
But now, think again. Do you still have the feeling of hatred today? If you still bear that feeling, what is the degree of that hatred? Is it still at similar level as before?

In fact, most of the troubles we experience in life are caused by our own act.
Many people have told themselves that they have to learn to let go. But most people tend to continue to live in the past unconsciously. When reality cannot be changed, there will be added worries. So how do we avoid living in the tangled past? We must learn to “see through the essence of things” and strive to “live in the present”.

Therefore, what really trapped us is not others, but ourselves. The only person who can really change and help pull you out from the mud pond is yourself.
