他們從多達2萬的基因中,找出能將皮膚細胞轉換成紅血球的4個關鍵基因,而細胞轉換的時間僅需要8天。

Presently, human blood can only be stored at a low temperature, up to a month. So, there is usually not enough supply during the inactive blood donation periods in winter.
A team in Sweden has found a technology to use skin cells to create red blood cells. From more than 20 thousand genes, they found 4 key genes that could convert skin cells into red blood cells in just 8 days.This finding will provide a supply of blood cells created from skin cells for patients needing blood transfusion in future.
