禍兮福所依，福兮禍所伏，福禍自有定數，但如果願意積累功德，也許就可以撥轉乾坤。

有一位將軍，請我幫他，讓他當上元帥，因為這是他的夢想，但我勸他還是放棄吧！夢想和現實，有的距離是可以實現，有些距離是實現不了的。

我跟他說：「你沒那個命！你最高的職位也就是個中將，如果再貪心，非但成不了，還會出問題，聽我的話，還能安全的退休」
.
他的太太也勸他，但是他想再爭一年，但就在這一年出了問題，後來被關了。
.
而另一位將軍，因為軍中發生了一個不愉快的大案件，因此被貶官，沒了權力，所以他就整天遊山玩水。
.
有一天，他碰到我，也請我幫助他，讓他當上他理想中的職位，我就告訴他，讓他多做功德，還有希望。
.
沒想到這位軍人表示，非常巧，在退休的期間，到處去做很多幫助人的善事，一分權力的事情都沒想，且他在行善的過程中，還發現了很多佛教修行人的遺跡。
.
聽完之後，我覺得這人不錯，第一，他不貪；第二，他對前途無所謂，就想做一個好人。
.
我看到了這點，告訴他在年底前，會當上一個高級別職位的軍官，而就在當年的十二月二十幾日，他便成為了一位將軍。

當功德、福德能量俱足圓滿，事情與願望自然迎刃而解。

The benefits of accumulating positive merits on a massive scale

Misfortunes and good luck are closely intertwined and our life destiny is pre-destined from the moment we are born. However, if we are willing to perform meritorious deeds to accumulate positive merits, our life destiny may be transformed for the better.

One general once sought my help in becoming a marshal since that was his longtime dream. However, I persuaded him to give up this dream since dreams and reality can be vastly different. Some dreams can be turned into realities while others will remain as a dream perpetually.

I told him: “You are not destined to become a marshal! The most you can hope for is to become a lieutenant general. If you aspire to achieve more than that, not only will you fail to materialize your dream, misfortunes may befall on you. You can still enjoy a comfortable retirement if you are contented with what you have.”

His wife also tried to convince him, but he refused to succumb to fate. As a result, a stroke of misfortune struck him and he was jailed in the same year.

On the other hand, another general was demoted due to an unfortunate incident. Because of this demotion, he lost his authoritative power. Hence he took the opportunity to lead a leisurely life.

One day, I happened to cross paths with him and he sought my help to achieve his career goal. I told him he may still stand a chance if he were to perform charitable deeds.

Coincidentally, this general shared with me that he had been going around the world to help others during his retirement years without expecting anything in return. Moreover, in the midst of helping others, he came across many relics of great enlightened cultivators.

Listening to him, I felt that he was a nice person and kind at heart. First, he was not greedy; second, he was not ambitious. His only goal in life was to help others.

When I saw this, I predicted he would become a high ranking military official before the end of the year. True enough, on 20th December, he became a general.

When we have accumulated enough positive merits and energy, our problems in life will disappear and our aspirations will be fulfilled naturally.
