《六度之忍辱》

六度中的第三條是「忍辱」,也就是忍耐別人對自己的侮辱。
過去釋迦牟尼佛在修菩薩行時,曾為忍辱仙人,因為忍字,所以成就了忍辱波羅蜜;也因忍心不動而降伏眾魔軍,成就無上正等正覺。

我們在日常生活中,也常常面對外界的不友善,我們是該吞忍下來,還是該狠狠反擊?

The Six Perfections: Tolerance
The third aspect of Six Perfections is 「Tolerance」. This means tolerate the insults inflicted by others. In the past when Shakyamuni Buddha was leading a Bodhisattva way of life, he attained great wisdom by accomplishing tolerance when he tolerated the insults of the immortal. Due to his supreme ability to control and manage his own heart and emotion, he even overcame evil forces and became enlightened ultimately.
In our daily lives, we constantly face unfriendliness and “attacks” from the people in our environment. Do we tolerate this behavior or retaliate in kind?
What is the underlying meaning of us being tolerant?
